Since the drawing down of the forums and nobody posting anymore, it's hard to find trail runs.

My "core group" of wheelers, including myself have families and other resposibilites now, but I remember when you could log on to a forum and find a trail ride or three every weekend for the need to scratch the itch.

Maybe I'll just start posting up on the free weekends after KOH and we can go play?

The oldest daughter is big enough to ride shotgun without a kid seat now and she loves wheeling.

Whom am I wheeling with?

Well, really only go on a couple of club runs a year, or so it seems. Plus I'll go on at least one week long trip, typically out of state.

In 2019 plan on running a week in June down in Oregon, and a week in July somewhere else. Plus, planning for Reiter rock crawl, if I can get the HMFIC to OK my 37 Toyos.

Also, I'll go to Belfair once or twice a year, but that's typically just a Saturday run to test some modification that I've made.

Definitely missing the OG groups from the way back times. The new generation is way to flakey for my liking. Don't get out as much as I used to...

I have gone multiple times in the last couple weeks :redneck: granted solo but I been doing a bunch of film work.

i still hang out with the same people, our wheeling is now done in geo trackers and it more of just backcountry exploration and finding hunting spots. we do what our vehicles are capable of. or incapable compared to our old wheelers...lol we still enjoy getting out in the woods .

I changed from a wheeler to a boat, camper van, and a baja bug... been spending time driving around the woods in the Baja, and on the river boating. I still go wheeling from time to time w/ my kids and their friends... usually cause they get stuck or broke and need help. :haha::haha:

I need to get up to that new Reeder's Trials Quarry place sometime soon, I haven't been up there since all the new work has been done! :awesomework::cool:

Still the same guys. Been over a yesr though. Started a massive rebuild with new frame, tub and everything.

I wheel a computer. Want to go out more often but the rigs either broke or I don't have the time. I feel the pain about not having the core group of fellow wheelers anymore. The sport has changed. The oldguys that used to hang out as families and wheel for the weekend are gone, they were replaced by the forums where as you said, you could find a group to go out with pretty easily, but then we all got old with families, houses and other commitments so that kind of fell down. And while that was happening areas were getting shut down left and right and it just wasn't the same anymore. No the forums are dieing, so the group of 'friends' and acquaintances that came from there are scattered and gone.

So if you find out where all the wheeling groups have gone, please let me know know.

Ever been up to Caskey Lake north of Darrington? It's the new hot spot for local wheelers.

Maybe I can get Makena (my 11yo) to come with me and she could buddy up with yours?

No one has any money... Just posted it to see all the bacefook drama it would create...

Seems to be that way in our area. Seems we live on the barter system now.. you should head down to koh

Totally agree. The new folks in the area seem to be "day trippers" and want to wheel and go home. What happened to the all weekend wheel/party/repeat?

My kids are getting old enough to deal with the shenanigans that come from such weekends, and I've set myself up with such accommodations (truck camper, kid seats, etc).
