Hey North Everett guys or someone who passes close to North everett on there daily work transit. My wife has been running my diesel weekly while im deployed. Last time she left the dome lights on and killed my batteries which i just bought and put in before i left. I would really appreciate it if someone could stop by and jump it for me....she has no idea what she is doing lol tried to explain it to her by email didnt work...or maybe someone has a charger she could borrow? let me know
 
and since this guy had to go there :swing: ^ im obviously not going to invite someone i dont know to my place many of the guys on here i have met and would trust
 
I'd bring a charger---but I am a little far north for ya! Maybe Murphy, or Dave (Jesterfab), or Judd, or....:awesomework:

I told her to get ahold of me if I need anything. Do you have a charger at your place chris?
 
I could do it after 3pm. Just send me a pm if you can't get it done before then. I'll need ur address and maybe just let her know I'll stop by.
 
If I knew where it is I would help a fellow military family out,I work in Everett and am currently on the Navy base getting my haircut

i dont have a charger but i did tell her i would post up on here so i will send you guys a pm with her cell we dont live far from the naval base i will owe whomever helps me out big time
 
If she hasn't gotten help yet I can help, I live in Everett, I can drop off a charger and hook it up and she can return it later.

Do yourself a favor & join. Free jump starts, unlocks, & certain mileage tow.
It'd pay for itself in one incident, & you don't have to invite a bunch of guys over to visit your wife while you're gone.
Not to mention quicker than posting on a forum & leaving her stranded for days.:haha::awesomework:

See the thing of it is i actually know some of the guys on here and would help them if they needed it anytime. She was not stranded she has her own vehicle. Good thing about a local forum MOST of the guys are pretty stand up dudes. :kissmyass::awesomework:
 
That's a waste of 89 dollars...

But if you don't have any friends, it might be worth it :flipoff:

I understand some people don't have $89...... So, why go wheeling? :redneck:

For $150 you get to updated package that covers the trailer towing too.
Cheap insurance! If you do much traveling. :fawkdancesmiley:

I've had many experiences that paid off. Not many friends will get out of bed @ midnight to help you stranded on the pass with a bad alternator, or blown head gasket. AAA is more reliable than your buddies!
One lock out in the parking lot, can pay for itself. Just saying.

Glad to hear it all worked out though. Dave's a good guy!:awesomework:

Plus you can use AAA on your friends cars, you just have to be with them. I have it for my wife and kids, but have not always had it.
 
I have had a less then desirable AAA experience. Most tow companies do not want to deal with them. In the end the tow was paid for, but waiting over 4 hrs for there tow guy and getting excuses every 20 mins, and then they told me if I can find my own tow truck they would reimburse me.... really? 4 hrs later you tell me. Within 3 calls I had a tow truck and that was in 20 mins. Funny thing AAA guy and other company showed up at exact time. I told AAA guy to get out of there.
Maybe AAA driver was the problem not AAA itself, but that pissed me off. They sent a check out to me with no questions asked though. So we will keep it for now.
I think we misreaed Chris's post, his wife was not stranded, he just did not want his truck sitting with dead, and I mean dead batteries, for however long until he got back. She had a vehicle, she was just starting his truck occasionally to keep the batteries up. No problem on the help, many times I have called members to help me. Lucky Jeff, Jaws, Trail Beast, hell even Crash 10 yrs ago helped me out. Nice part about the forum and meeting people.

AAA has its place...But you are not the first person I have heard of an extremely long wait time for AAA to show up. You're also correct in that most tow companies don't want to deal with them, as they (AAA) don't pay full scale to the tow companies. I know several people in the towing biz, and not one are thrilled with being contracted with AAA, and often cringe when an AAA tow/unlock/ is dispatched...

Tow companies don't choose to work with AAA,AAA chooses them..AAA actually tries to uphold a higher standard on who contracts with them. Now in certain areas you get no choice. Yes AAA pays a percentage,but you are also getting guaranteed calls when private you could be waiting..those guys who frown on the call from AAA are upset because the would rather rip you off for a $80 lockout opposed to getting 2 calls from AAA..ask me how I know.. I drive tow trucks.and can tell you that a lot of people get ripped off from private calls to tow co..hell I can come charge you $250 an hr to winch you out of ditch 1 hr min..or get the same call from AAA and get paid $85...but without AAA contract I could be waiting for call,with 6 other tow companies,with AAA a tow co gets calls opposed to sitting ,and waiting..but yes at times you can wit a Lil bit,I have dealt with,and seen all..in a company truck I couldn't help a family member of a certain board member,but when I mentionedAAA a call was made,and she was home..AAA is awesome insurance,think of that late night call even from the kids....

I only know a couple of tow truck owners. But they say the same thing that Kevin said. So it's not a rare statement.

I have been stranded at midnight. It wasn't an easy call since I don't like to ask for help. But I got home at a decent time still, which I'm pretty sure wouldn't have been the case if I had to rely on AAA.
 
I've had AAA for years. It's cheap insurance. When you need it you need it. Usually I've used the free tows to help out friends. I've done it without being with the vehicle, just called and said it broke down with me in it but that I had left it.:awesomework:
 
We've had AAA for years, its good piece of mind. Plus you can get discounts for various things with it.

I'm on my 3rd year of the RV Premier setup. With as much as I tow, as has been said, it's cheap insurance. I've yet to use it, and since I've paid for it I hope I never will, but the hotel room discounts alone have paid for the membership.
 
This wasn't meant to be a AAA commercial thread. But, since all I see all the other testimonies, I've used AAA many, many, many times for Lock outs, tows, & didn't have to pay anything. They get a guarantee minimum invoice to the insurance company for responding. All I had to do is sign.
I even paid for a tow once. Filled out a form, & sent it in for reimbursement. (which was more than the annual membership)
That being said. Dealing with collections, as a business owner, I find home owners insurance to be abusive enough, We won't take their calls anymore. But, that's not AAA.
