I picked up a little Hyundai Accent at work for a commuter. It had a valve say hello to the piston or pistons. Im not sure if I should run these pistons or buy new ones?

What would it cost to put a new set in?

Seems ya got it out, if its cheap enough might as well.

Actaully just run it, you'll sell it before the first oil change is do anyway. :flipoff:

No.. I had one do that exact thing and the rings would stick in the groove from the small deformation at the top.

Very true, but I would still run it.

Just fold some sand paper over a few times and sand the ring grove out til it fits the same on both sides. I have a micro file set Ive used too.

Its just a beater, **** it.

A new piston is 25 dollars on E-Bay, for that price I would just replace it.

Heck, a new piston, ring and pin kit is only 81.65 with free shipping! A bargain!

:D
