We were off the trail by 3 and had time to relax a bit before dinner.

ok I take it back. AZ is not a hell-hole. Actually, it might be worth visiting to get away from the crap weather we get here in the next 3 months!

There are trails 15 minutes from Mesa, these trails are 2 hours from Mesa...... plenty to get dirty on.
