I am new to the board but I know some peeps on this board and hope to know more of you guys. I have a build thread on pirate but not everyone goes to jeep hardcore and I like the atmosphere over here compared to pirate. Little history on myself and this jeep. I have only been wheelin for a little over a year. I have known Kelly (blacksheep10), heath; and ben for quite some time and watched them play with there rigs but never anything I was really intersted in. Well I went out to a local park and got hooked. I wheeled a cherokee on 33's for about 8 months and then decided I wanted something bigger and better. I sold this which I had been building for over a year and half and that gave me the funds to buy my jeep
Here is the jeep I bought and wheeled it like this for about 7 months
It has a 4.0,ax-15, stak and built 60 front and 9" rear with 106" wheelbase and RE long arm up front and flipped XJ leafs in rear on 42" rockers.
I decided I wanted something more like a buggy, that I could beat around, have lots of power and soak up the bumps. The only reason I didnt go full tube chassis is because my wife and son come with me on every wheeling trip and they like the top for when it rains and the heater when its cold. The jeep is also street legal and is a blast to drive around town
The plans for the Jeep are 5.3, turbo 400, stak 3 speed, Built HP 60 front and 14B rear with Ori's up front and air shocks with bumps in back. Going to be around 112" wheel base and be on 42 rockers. Im wanting 8" of up travel front and rear at no more then 24" belly. Here are some of the parts I already have got
