and it is pretty much what I had pictured in my mind.

But what is protecting the ram (and stuff back there)? As the log swings fore and aft it may raise and lower from the pendulum effect.

The log is (lightly) dragging on the ground the entire process......slack in the winch line.

And if things got all caddy-wanpuss, lifting or swinging the secure end of the log. I have 6 inches of uptravel to lower the buggy (lower the log) using the rear winch.

We can also start the pulling process with the rear suspension "sucked down" if we think there might be a need for ground clearance for the secure end.........to "lift" it up over a small obstacle; while skidding.

The rear winch sets the initial and temporary ride height of the log and the buggy.

Looks interusting. I would be worried about too many moving parts. I will talk to you this weekend a little more in person. Maybe explaining in person might make a little more sense.

If there is a way to just set the choker once we will be time ahead and less fussing with it.

I am sure it will make more sense in person. I might have a few ideas to throw at you before we go crazy with the fab work.

Eric there are no moving parts. I don't think the choker would have to be set twice, Money you can leave the winch cable through the block at all times.

Is there enough room to put the winch down by the tank. It would lower the center of gravity for winching and also make it so you could remove it easy with just a few bolts and an electrical conection
