Anybody run Helium in there tires before? lol

It will be a big heavy pig im sure of it.I just hope its in The area of 3700.I really dont think the extra weight will hurt the rig that much...Ill need the contact press on the big tires.:kiss:

dam mike lookin good the boat sides are pinpin. your wheel and tire combo fits the rig perfectly with a tape on them how tall do thay measure ?my 42s with 15 p.s.i. measure 39.75 a rip off im sure.

With 20psi and on the rig they measure 39.60"

you got fawked lol

I put 20 psi of Nitrogen in them a few weeks ago and they are still sitting @ 20psi:cheer: apparantly the beadlocks are holding air...excellant.:redneck:

Added another 7 lbs to the rig yeaterday :redneck::haha:

Got the pass side front boat skid in there and the driverside front.

capped off the rocker guard finally.

and the driverside.

Now the middle bottom piece needs to get figured out.

Then I got to figure out a way to protect the transmission and the bottom of the engine.Orangecrush is going to help me with this...he just dont know it yet :redneck:

HeY Dennis I was kinda shootin from the hip on my answer earlier...

40" MTRK's 17" T.G. wheels.

Where talkin about the size of a mans tires! so this shits got be real lol

Tire still sitting on front with 20 psi(sorry im to lazy to change the pressure)

Never been run mind ya(I would think the side walls will bag more when broke in)

shes 39 1/4"

Same press. differant tire.No weight on it.

I got the boat side skids all finished up.Removed them and repainted everything under there.

While I was waiting for paint to dry I worked on getting the shifters in there.Finally found the mounting seal for the 5 speed's shifter.Fabbed up a klune v shifter,got the dana shifters in there.The dana 300 shifters need to be cut down some tho when I shift into 4th the trans shifter hits the dana shifters.

Now To build the belly skids this weekend.:redneck:

Took the rig to the muffler shop yesterday...it came out ok,I think Ill change a few things myself.

Real pleased with this section.

I think the muffler is going to need a heat shield

The tail pipe is ..well it looks like **** imo.

While I had it out side and daylight I shot some pics of.First pics of it out side and moving under its own power...another milestone:awesomework:

Got some issues to deal with first then Ill finish up the belly skids.Been a long hual on this rig im real happy with the looks especially if y all concider this is my first ever buggy build:redneck:learned alot building it,wish I had known what I know now when I started lol I guess thats the way thing work lol there only one way to get experiance.

I do agree though, the exh dump looks like doodoo! A simple turndown pointing down and toward the rear at approx 45* angle with the end cut flush with the bottom of the muffler would look much better IMHO....:awesomework:

Yea Mike tail pipe don't look right, why'd they do it like that? The crossover section looks good though, nice and tucked tight in there.

Obviously the dude can bend pipe but gots no style lol Ill fix it and try to give it a nicer look on that.For now the Buggy is on the back burner for a spel(this really sux!!)

My gas pick up broke down last night,gotta tow it home tonight.I think the fuel pump has takin a **** on it.GOtts a full tank of gas too..oh joy.Then while going to rescue the wife The fan clutch goes out on the cummins and come scary close to falling off and going though the rad

so I fix that on the side of the road pulled the fan and stacked some washers on the pulley bolts.Thanks god for tools and misc **** in the truck lol. So I get home and figure I best fire up the Metro(it aint been started since I got my cummins truck lol) it wont run! fawked with it for a couple hours last night.So I had to drive the cummins out to work today hoping I dont get caught in traffic and over heat it...this sux ass,but just another one of lifes curve balls lol

Thats actually how Goodyear recommends to mount them I believe.

I love this build, it gives me wood everytime I see updates, but I have to ask, why the lack of an X in the cage? I would hate to see you take this thing out and pull a Brian and **** it up in the first run.

Lets get some opinions on this shall we.Do you really think its got a weal cage? Im not bull shitting you guys im a newb when it comes building a buggy like this,ive been in over my head and abilitys from ground zero.I do plan on putting a 1 1/4" bar down the center of the windshield whenever I get the wiondshield installed.I just kinda figured the double "b" hoop tied into the other bars would keep that real strong.

Heres a good pic of the upper roof bars.

I dont know how to paint lines on pictures,so bare with me.:redneck:

maybe I should look at attatching bars from the middle of the bar that goes behind the seat and take those bars and wled them into the inside coners of one of the "b" hoop bars and make a "V" right there???? but then shouldnt I have a bar that goes from this junction at the bar behind the seat to the floor bar below it????

Im open for suggestions if y'all think Ive got a weak spot in this area.
