Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Sorry for your loss. How's your son doing? Did he recovery well and how is he taking it?

Sorry for your loss :booo:

It was an unfortunate event for sure but honestly I stopped giving a damn at around word 362 of that long winded meandering diatribe.

A simple "sometimes bad **** happens to good people" would have summed it up nicely.

You should have read it, very well written :awesomework:

I tried. You know that saying that the older we get the better we were? That effect is easily 10 fold when someone dies. You never hear "Hey that guy was an asshole, good riddance to bad rubbish!" at a funeral, it's always he was such a great guy, perfect father and a hero to puppies everywhere blah blah.

I can't say anything good or bad about the deceased but all the posthumous niceties are predictable. It was an unfortunate event the end.

But your talkin about a persons lifetime vs. one incedent that led to an unfortunate end.

When somebody dies whats said is usually based off there whole life time--and yes its typically "good" stuff but I have also heard the negative at a couple too.

I haven't said anything good or bad about the indecent other than it was unfortunate.

Yes funerals are always about how good the deceased was. I got tired of hearing all the fake niceties about people I knew were pieces of **** so I stopped going to funerals. I figure screw them, why should I go to theirs if they aren't coming to mine?

Jesus Christ dude, it's his wife! Back the **** down, seriously.

No **** huh? Even I know to stay outta this one.

Some questions have no good answer. Some good answers have no questions.

To the wife, may your future follow a pleasant path regardless of the past rough roads. :awesomework::beer:

Welcome to NW-Wheelers. I wish to have met you under differing circumstances.

I'm sorry for your loss.
It was right for you to type your story. It does well for all; those whom have had the opportunity to have read it; and for the author whom types it. I was glad to have read it.

I'm the one who used "stoopid" in context. I stand behind my word. Your husband

And as a SOBER person (he VERY rarely drank - probably 3 drinks in the last year - and he sure as heck wasn't going to drink some cheap COORS LIGHT garbage - that's all y'alls trash - the tox showed no drugs anyway)

Did the toxicology report show that he had alcohol in his bloodstream?

And being a decent person isn't acceptable anymore

Not accepting the fact that the world isn't full of people just like you isn't.

Tolerance works both ways.

Right and wrong

Good and evil

Can't have one without the other.

Maybe whoever brought this thread back from the dead should of thought of all this **** before posting.

It's the internet, and doing your laundry in public is never a good idea.

I agree, but I want you guys to put yourself in her shoes for sec. Imagine you wife didn't come home from the store one day. Killed in a car accident. How would you feel?

I don't know first hand, but I do know this feeling as being a good friend to a person it did happen and it hurt me like a MF'er. In fact it still upsets me.

Exactly.

If you really want to go through life with a stick up your ass (or a flag pole), that's fine, it's your choice, I could care less. Just watch out for those splinters, they tingle.

I've never said anything, good, bad or otherwise about this fella who died or his wife, just pointed out the fact that just because people who post an unpopular opinion, whomever they may be, are treated as if they are not entitled to their opinion.

I started a new thread on this topic rather than continue it here.

The laundry was tossed out into the public by others. It takes a better person to address it than to just stick thier head in the sand and ignore it.

CRF- Thanks for the post. That couldn't have been easy.:awesomework:

Thank you all for your positive contributions to my explanation and theory about what happened.

In answer to additional questions:

~Both my sons are in perfect health; mentally? In therapy. Losing their daddy is always going to be with them - no dad to put the hammer down, no dad to play sports with, no dad to guide them into manhood. A mom is just different.

~Last year was the worst - 7 deaths in our family, etc. - I can't believe I'm handling it as well as I have. Still cry alot. I miss my husband very much.

~I don't consider it dirty laundry. I have (relatively) nothing to hide. haha

~I feel upset his friend didn't call me right away. But I don't blame him. The result would have been the same. You're right; he probably feels crappy about it. I talk to him, but he hasn't really expressed his feelings to me.

~I want to reiterate: John did have enough supplies in the truck to survive awhile.

~I also reiterate: John was a sober person - rarely drank. The toxicology report showed no drugs or alcohol in his system.

Boy your long winded are you related to Rich? :redneck:

j/k You don't need to explain yourself to these guys or anyone. It is what it is and it's in the past. The only thing you need to worry about now is your families recovery. Best of luck to you.

And I am sorry for your loss. But you sure are a strong person to not only share the story but I feel allot of positiveness from you by your words...

Dr. Crash needs his own TV show :redneck:

She does seem to be handling it well. It took me many years and a lot of gray hairs to figure out that living in the past about anything is not worth it. Their ain't **** you can do to change any of it anyways.
