I hunt in the land of vampires and werewolves, were I grew up. First time elk hunting with a bow, was pretty fun.

Cool! I met a guy last week that lives and hunts there as well, has had very good success. :awesomework:

+1 for Archery. :awesomework:

Just back from goat hunt, my buddy got a 8 3/4" goat. That dam goat almost killed both of us on the recovery:tp: I will never put in for that area again:wtf:

Any pics? It sounds like you were in the right area if it almost killed you. I leave friday for deer.

Opening day we got a nice little spike for the daughters first deer. She missed a two point first thing in the morning that I'm sure nerves played a part in but she was grinning from ear to ear at the end.

Congrates, the first deer is always special. We got three bucks in our camp. For some odd reason the bucks are acting like they're in the rut already. Anybody else see this?

We used to hunt Manastash every year for Elk. Stopped going over there about 1988..

Can't wait to leave on the 9th to head over to Deer camp....:clappy:

If you haven't been to the Manastash since 1988, you'll be stunned how many roads have closed since then. I hope you can get to your deer camp.
