Fender is almost done. Need to pick up some more undercoating for the underside of the fender. I have tried to ensure an almost OEM look with the fenders, I am happy with the outcome. Moved onto the drivers side of the firewall. Removed the brake master and almost have the booster off, damn pin is frozen on the brake pedal. I do have a line on a 92 corolla master and booster, should help with the upgrade of disk brakes front and rear.

Put in a little work on the ole FJ40 today, with some help from the wife. I am about 98% done with rear brakes. Had to grind a bit off the calipers so that the braided lines wouldn't rub on anything. Also cleaning up the brake booster. Looking at picking up a 1990 Supra master to attatch to the booster. My wife Patty with some help took apart the cabin heater, cleaned it all up for new paint and Metric TLC restoration kit

With the assistance of my wife we managed to restore to the best of out abilities the front cabin heater. Much thanks goes out to Metric TLC:

Picked up a 1990 4wd mini truck booster and master for $50 at a local salvage yard. Working on making the 76 Steering column mate to the firewall. Cleaned up the drivers side firewall inside and out. Pulled the pedal housing cleaned it up, painted it. Cleaned the clutch master as well and it got some love. Going to start looking for a rebuild kit for it.

decided I do not have enough room in my garage to let parts just hang out, so in the went. I need to find a better way to route the hose from the booster to the intake. I am going to find a 90 degree elbow fitting for the intake manifold, then see where that gets me.

Started working on the front brake lines tonight. I am thinking of routing the front hard line from the master -> firewall -> frame routed around the steering gear box -> to front shock mount area -> then so braided line to spliter on axle housing. what do you all think? Also, I notice some people put spirals in the line from the front port on the master...why?

When I did mine I eliminated the splitter on the front axle and just ran braded lines from the frame direct to the calipers. I believe the coils are just to allow for a little movement between the body and the frame.

Do you have a pic? At some point the two lines have to merge to go into the single port on the master.

Making progress on the front brake lines, I am far from a pro, but not to bad for my first attempt. My proportioning valve should be here this week:
