    The Hero2 may not be as good as the 3, but it takes better video and pics than most people know what to do with. Saw one last night with accessories for $50 on ebay.

    even if it's "overkill" I think it helps keep the bolt from loosening which leads to breaking

    yes the spool may not have exactly the same machining as the carrier, so the ring gear may move closer or further from the pinion

    Take out the 8mm studs and cone washers. Drill and tap for 7/16 fine thread bolts. or if you have the $$, buy the new TrailMart internal flange hubs (like a mini-D60)
