Tundra

I am doing my research. :flipoff:

Have you seen those toyota's?? They're nice..

We looked at the Tundra's for my wife's business...and then we went and bought a 1500 Dodge with a Hemi. It's not for towing, just for hauling paint and stuff in the back.

Two things to consider:
1. Buy what you can afford right now
2. Buy what will make sense ($$$) in the long run

I'll never buy another gas powered truck for towing, been there, done that.

50k for a new Dodge diesel? You planning on going into the dealership with a skirt on and lookin lovely (dumb) as can be?

My Dad's fully loaded dodge dually diesel was less then that before the gas crunch came. Dealers will do damn near anything to get trucks off their lot now.

HOOP, It was my understanding from one of my customers that the Turdra gas mileage isnt worth talking about. :corn:

I have an 05 Tundra with the 4.7 and towed a full size Blazer over the 410 to the cheese no problem....I have 90,000 miles on it and it nothing has gone wrong,,,,,,,,,I bought the 2 wheel drive version and paid $18,000 brand new in 05,,,,,nothing but good for me.:fawkdancesmiley:

i just bought a '08 crew max, 5.7 4x4, havent had a chance to tow with it, but did drive it thru colo, az, and utah. its HUGE inside, 4 grown men comfortable, the rear seats even recline. i bought it to tow my '90 runner but i havent had a chance to line up a trailer yet, still looking to buy one.
ill respond back when i do.
and buy the way toyota is giving these things away. the fleet guy i delt with showed me the paper work and they made -235$ on it. they said they will blow them out because for every one they sell they allocated a prius wich they can for 5k$ over book same day the y get it. dont know how much B.S. there is in that, but i did pay less for this than my '03 taco trd 4x4 when i bought it new:eeek:

Here is a pic of mine. I drove to Bellingham and back yesterday and got just under 17 mpg. The bed was loaded on the way up and empty on the way back. I do drive with a lead foot though.

Jumping the gap from old used up 12v's to a common rail is a big one...He did the right thing though...(Joop got a 01? ctd)
