• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

So i bought a 51 Whilly

yeah bill the two big issues i have to deal with to run it are :

Wiring and the axel housings are empty which means im a few thousand dollars away with no plan.:looser:

i thought the axles were a moved point:eeek: run the stock **** till she brakes:redneck: with your t-case and auto trans your gearing should be low enough, so since you didn't object to my last comment, i guess i have a spot in the shop for my new rig:cool::;

not for overnight:eeek: but to do day projects yeah sure.

wires suck!!!
diffs dont need filled with anything . we will start a new sport with your buggy!!
its downhill trail ridding like the mtn. bikers we just will start you at the top,and you free coast the trails,of course everything is gonna be real steep!!

anyone want to sign up to help me do the wiring? i dont have any time if i want to take it to KOH in febuary.

Mike dont return PMs, probably too busy for my time frame anyways.:awesomework:

which really means they know what they are doing....cause i dont.

dood hip you no i can/will help you wire that up:awesomework: but in trade i want to go to KOH with you this year:hi:

well ive probably got two weekends worth of fabrication to finish things like battery mount, fuel pump mount rear winch mount etc then wiring.

i have to make some parts for the cowl area to mount the ecu and a fuse/relay panel...

my plan is to do the basic wiring to get er running and leave space for assesories as they come....

i start working around 8:30ish on saturdays mornings so feel free to drop by.

Ohh and i am open to suggestions about wiring so feel free to give me any feedback about things you have done that didnt work or worked really good.

I do have the entire wiring harness off the donor car and still have the donor car on the property. just need it stripped down and installed.

uh-oh........now you've done it....you said "relay" thats not gonna want to make Brad help you:redneck:

made some proggress over the last two weeks.

made the top engine cross brace.

Made exhaust again as i didnt like how it came oth the first time using crushed bends from the store. got two j bends and a u bend from summit.

when you cut into a bend the cross section it is almost perfecly round.:awesomework:

batttery died on the camera before i could get the pictures out.

Notice the slight angle on the flanges so it can hopefully always pop out in the up direction in case there is any stress on it when trying to remove it.

the passenger side exhaust was really tight. im glad i didnt have a driveshaft to deal with also...

Still gottta put in the bung hole and i believe a flange so the rest of the exhaust can un-bolt.:awesomework:
