Seattle just passed a $20 increase on vehicle tabs... That money in part, will be used toward programs for bicyclists and pedestrians... If they could of figured out how to tab bikes or sneakers they would... That's how they get **** done... It's easier to raise taxes and throw money at a problem than roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty...

This has been going on forever... Nothing has changed...

If we start to pay a user fee to be on DNR land, it'll get misused...

For these Bikes I mentioned, they have the required equipment but WSP refuses to even inspect them to let them keep their plates. WSP has the ability to make this decision on their own. They will inspect homemade choppers but they are taking a stand on dualsports and denying them.

Do you have a link to more info on this or is it just all hear say? I would like to read more about it...

You come on a wheeling site and start **** with most of the members... You have your own personal agenda when it comes to our trail systems... Then you want us to feel bad because your dirt bike friends are getting the shaft??? Oh wait, you want us to rally the troops for ya???

I don't personally have an issue with the bike guys... You on the other hand are an asshat... I don't go on bike forums and start ****... But, you feel the need to stir **** all the time on a wheeling site...

**** you and the bike you rode in on...

BTW, plates...:looser:

WOW.... What is my "Personal Agenda" for the trail systems? I'm NOT asking peopel to feel bad about people losing their plates, but figured if they can do it to them they can do it to Buggys. You didn't have to come in and **** in my thread if you don't like it don't click. :awesomework:

I was simply curious as to how many wheelers are running ORV tabs.

Not hearsay. Do you know anyone with a KTM? Chances are that they or someone they know got "The Letter" from DOL revoking their plate. I have seen the letter.

I'm wondering if that has to do with those idiots using them on the highway to do stunts? Nearly had one come through my windshield last summer. He nearly knocked my driver's side mirror off and "I" was pulled over for speeding right after it happened! (Load of BS. '81 Chev with basically stock 454/TH400 4.10s and stock tires would be pushed VERY hard to do 79 mph!)

Coming from someone that's main purpose on this board is to stir ****... Classic...:haha:

If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd and flushes like a turd... It must be a turd...

You are that turd in the punch bowl...

I told you I run plates...:awesomework:

Not saying it is... I have been working at puchasing a KTM and no one has stated I could not keep the plate and this is from a dealer I am working with...

I just wanted to know where I could read more about what you are talking about?

FWIW I don't think Shockers main reason for being here is to stir ****.....

I've never met the guy, the only thing I know about him is what I see him post on this site...

From what I gather, he's a dirtbike guy that bought and FJ(I think) recently and has everything figured out as far as what should be done on the 4x4 trails...

He sure does waste a lot of energy stirring up **** on trail related topics...

From my seat he's a douche bag...

As I probably am from others...

Maybe you can reserve judgement until you meet me?

And I had this before my Dirtbike or my FJ.

Bottom line here is that there is a lot of street legal rigs that wheel. So in my opinion more people would support buying ORV tabs if
1. The tab money was just for ORV areas
2. People could have plates and have an ORV tab for running trails

what a bunch of spineless turds.

I refuse to tab my wheeler in this state until OUR nova money is returned.

Its called a "boycott".

They stole from me and Im not paying till it changes.

I cant believe out of almost 25 poll posts nobody has a spine or will stick up for themselves.

Laws or not, they aint walkin on me. Practice what ya preach.

I have explained my position to two LEOs so far that asked and they just left me alone after I told them my reasons.

ORV tabs or Plates?

I can see your stance on ORV tabs, but IMHO is you can have and/or keep plates on your rig its better and offers more flexibility and "bending" of road rules until laws can be changed.

In my case they will be "collector" plates. Cause my junk qualifies, and actually the rules regarding them fit the intended usage to a "T". Plus no more BS tab fees.

I also keep full insurance on my rigs and have policies on everything in my yard with a tittle. I monkey with have "active" coverage on them and putting them on "comprehensive only" when they are just sitting.

Sad, but true. Even if the moneies stayed in the department they were intended for, there is a certain amount of misused and misappropriation that WILL happen :booo:

I'm not 100% on the rules, but I've never even concidered ORV tabs cause everything I have had plates. So why would I buy ORV tabs?

If I ran a bike (non dualsport) or SbS then I'd probably know more about them but if I understand correctly, if you have plates, then ORV tabs are not required for anything.

Now I (as most people do) know that to run in Oregon you need and ORV tab to be on the trail. We've had threads about them and I support them IF, as you state above, the money went where intended. And it probably would to start.... till another budget crisis and its get raided.

IMO the rules right now are all screwed up, but it would take a mystical AND act of God to straiten it all out so it makes sense. IMHO a "ORV" tabbed motorized vehicle should be allowed to run (obeying posted or general rules and limits) non-improved (i.e. not paved/gravel/logging) roads AND/or select roads in or immediately adjacent to recognized ORV areas purely for the intent of traveling between trailheads. But then again that makes sense, and we can't have that on the rule books.
