Just thought I'd post these pics up from the pnw site...

Signs and Education were'nt enough. The problem was that everyone was loving the area to death. Expect to see other changes come about.

It is a Meadow. The biologist had posted keep off the grass numerous times but the signs were not respected and torn down by persons unknown.

If and when the travel plan is adopted changes will have an opptunity.

Yes, you may still use the area just no motorized access.

....

You turn left over the bridge off Little Naches before heading up to Kaner...

Go past the bridge heading to Ravens and its there on your left...

Yup its the one I was thinking. We would camp there on our red eye runs at the end..

I guess it was posted but normally you're allowed to be parked up to 100 feet off a road. God forbid people were using an area to camp. They'll find another area to wear out. Good to see our funds going toward fencing/firewood.

Whats odd is that fencing will probably stay. Look at the fence near riders camp. Its near a large camp area and has been there for years.

nothing better then wheeling that trail for miles and coming across a nice peacefull meadow that has not been molested by dumb fuwks.:awesomework:

One thing I love about the east side. wheel for a while, park and just walk around. I have spent many hours just investigating whats off the trail.

Nobody really camped out there in the middle anyway, it was more about the kids riding their dirt bikes through there. We camped there the 4th and noone was out there. The pay part is only 5 bucks a night, pretty cheap to keep the area open in my opinion.

I wonder what that fence cost the taxpayer, materials and labor by the time it was done?

I wonder how that same revenue could have benefited public schools.

I wonder why the Forest Service is allowed to exist given how expensive and needlessly wasteful it proves itself to be time and time again. Here we are with a 4 billion dollar state budget deficit and yet we have money for this kind of useless wasteful spending. How many roads are washed out and closed over there, yet money is spent further restricting access?

The FS is federal.

Looks like an unsafe liability to me. Some kid will be climbing on it and slip, crack his head and then we the tax payers will pay to take it down and something else will be put up :eeek::booo:
