6th Annual Twin Lakes First Snow Run!

Ok, we are gonna make an attempt for tomorrow... 8:30 at the Bear...

What time do you think you will be at the bottom of the Twin Lakes road? The wife and I might make it but I think we will probably skip breakfast since it's a long ass drive. How many folks are going?

I imagine it would be 9:15-9:30 by the time we get our b'fast and get up there. My wife is thinking about going. How many others are going to go and who is bringing their SO?

I bet we don't get to the trailhead until close to 10...It's a solid 45 minutes to there from the Bear...I don't think Cathy's gonna go, and Don, as far as I know we are the only 2 going unless others come at the last minute...:eeek:

We will be there. Don't know if anyone else is coming though.

Same to you Kevin. Hopefully next time we will meet at the bottom of the mountain instead of the top. :D:D

Don't have a fancy camera but I did get some photos.

I love the look on people's face when they see a rig coming up the road. Priceless.

Kurtis

Ooops, Sorry Kurtis for the name misspelling! Next time from the bottom for sure...:redneck:
Nice photos...And nice Runner!

Looks like a good time both weekends. Heh it is warming up this week, and raining at 6000ft -- then cooling and maybe staying dry.. Not sure if another trip will be possible, especially if it snows below 2500ft.

Just for everyone's reference, the Twin Lakes road gets barricaded off by snow usually mid-december. With that and the avalanche danger, its sadly a early season run only.

would radial tsl's at about 70% tread work okay up there? I've got a locker in the front. if theres another run after thanksgiving i'd totally come. oh and a question... who's solid axle blazer is that?

You want lockers at both ends if possible, or at least a good winch with ALOT of line :redneck: ...What tire size are they? I have seen that it's not so much the tire, but the air pressure in which you run them. And that Blazer belongs to a member of the RRR's, goes by gr8wing here......This last weekend was its 3rd shakedown run, and no issues this go-round!!! :cheer:
