Just saw a nice 8 chasing a doe on my way home. I do miss hunting, maybe I'll get back into it one day. Killin big ass midwest deer kinda ruined southeast deer huntin for me.

We have big deer too! My grandfather shot this one in 03 on our property. Since then everybody and their brother found out where it came from so we have people hunting on all sides of us now. Hunting isn't near what it was back then but you still see the big boys in the rut.

22 point I dont remember exact numbers but I think its 198" typical and 223" non typical

Damn! I thought Alabama deer like that came from fenced areas.

Two or three others around the same size or bigger have been killed in the state since then. It is hard to come back to this style hunting after an experience like that though.

Hell jr u get to hunt midwest to damn ur lucky

I got to go as a guest on a lease in robinsville, Illinois back in November. Only could hunt 2.5 days. Well in 2 mornings and 1 evening, i saw 34 bucks. Needless to sy i join rhe lease this year. :****:
Going for 10 days this November with bow and shotgun. Benefits of being single and no kids.

A good friend of mine joined a lease in illonois this past season just got a bow tag had 2 gaints on film never got close enough for a shot he said next yr gettin a gun tag

I saw 5 bucks over 150 2 of which came within 30yrds.
But the rut is wild up there. Rattling and calls get responses up there 99%
Of the time. Hardest thing is getting to stop.

Damn id be tripping out maybe one day ill get a chance to hunt that state. When does yall season start in tennessee

Few little basket rack 8s, some 6s and 2 big deer that I would put in the shooter category. You say lowndes County Ms? I lived there for 18 years before coming down here to the Fl panhandle back in '03. Had a plot of land in Caledonia and another in bardahatchie.Had a bar on the state line of hwy 12. Used to be called the Horseshoe before I got it. It's been torn down since I been down here and got a double wide sitting there IIRC.

Nah my place is in Lowndes County Alabama near Montgomery
