It's time to start mine and Andreas new two seat rig AKA: SECOND CHANCE. This will be a tribute rig for a lot of people and I'm excited to get it started, I will post pics as it comes together. Will be running a narrowed Dana 60 front, narrowed Eaton rear, 5.13 gears, 406sbc, 350 turbo, Dana 300, 16in Fox coilovers, cut TSL front, cut turfs on back, Corbeau seats, all on propane. :dblthumb:

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

Taking the Chassis back to Jay Roberts at Backyard Fab. As for the T-case I already have it, it's what we have run in the Yellow single seat rig since the buggy was built in 2007. Everything that is in the yellow single seat going into Second Chance with exception of seats and shocks.

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

This is the rig I will be tearing down and swapping over the components to the new SECOND CHANCE chassis. loller.gif

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

The Second Chance rig is officially under way! It's sad to see Ol'yellow come down but it's time as well. Jay Roberts at Backyard Fab built a tough rig when he built Yellow in 2007. This rig has been in Crawl magazine, numerous videos, and calendars. It has always been drove hard and always comes back for more. Although Second Chance will be a all new chassis it is still going to have a YELLOW in it come on! Special thanks to Jay at Backyard Fab for the help and support in the rock bouncing world. Stayed tuned for future pics coming soon! :eat:

God Bless

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

Got the 406 set on table last night, need to pull the rear suspension out now and get everything cleaned back up and set in place. Hopefully Friday or Saturday I start bending some tubing. :driving:

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

Wow last time I seen this rig it was in the rev limiter on axle hill in summertown...lol now it's down to nothing lol... thumb.gif

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

You right, that was a fun day for sure! Going to try and set the new chassis up the same way with all the components out of yellow. :spin:

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

Ole Yellow was and is one of my all time favorite buggies. The small size along with the narrowed axles made that thing go so good. I hate to see it being torn apart :'(

Re: SECOND CHANCE RIG

Yeah I agree 100%, this was a bad rig. You either went to the top or rolled trying, I have seen Jay Roberts climb stuff that was crazy insane. The new chassis SECOND CHANCE I'm building is going to be set up as close to the Yellow rig as possible. It's going to be a bit of a challenge making it all fit in a two seat since it is narrowed 6in front and rear and only a 109 wheel base. Going to pull a smokey and the bandit and do what they say can't be done. thumb.gif
