Thornbirds For The Win ???

Re: Thornbirds For The Win !!!!!

Those thing suck!
Had a set on a 4cyl jeep.
You could cut donuts on pavement and get stuck in wet grass!!!

Better hope it don't rain or the roads turn to ice.

Re: Thornbirds For The Win !!!!!

Great description of product.

In my opinion, this is the worst off-road tire currently made - in stock form. But since I'm a professional turd polisher, I decided to bring it's traction capabilities to the level of the elite bias Super Swamper TSL and Pitbull Rocker. I'd say its traction off-road is now pretty close if not better than the aforementioned, especially in mud, due to the deep voids it now has. If nothing else, it would make a great tire carrier ornament, so impress all your hater friends and buy today!

The last four pictures show it in stock form and additional ways I considered cutting the tire.

Re: Thornbirds For The Win !!!!!

it would be a good conversation piece for a spare tire (if you actually carry a spare) and would get you off the trail...

I myself prefer a stock size factory spare, or a **** ton of those red plugs and an air compressor...

Re: Thornbirds For The Win !!!!!

Imagine the day that Interco could sponsor SRRS or KOH. Each competetor get a set of Thornbirds with no restrictions on grooving. :dblthumb:

I heard they coming out with a 43" sticky :tc

You ****ers joke, but if Interco made a tire in the tread pattern of the cut thorn-turd in the first post with a sticky compound it'd be the best tire they made :fish:
Forget what the tire once was, look at how well the pattern blends the best features of a Simex Centipede, Aetna cut TSL, & the randomness of a Pitbull Rocker... With a different compound it looks like it would flat out work.... to me at least

At least i didn't have to pay to have them halled off :****:

I was bored.... You might ruin a groover and a small fortune in blades getting there, but there are a few possibilities. Dunno how they would perform though. Please excuse the awful "paint" job.

I got a set of 33s thornbirds on my dd tj , I always thought they were one of the cooler lookin swampers but even new they do just plain suck offroad, the jeep looks nice sittin in the parking lot at work though and they are wearing great for mileage on the rd
, they shimmy and shake like a son of a bitch since new, never balanced worth a **** wich is why I ended up with them, another guy bought em and hated them so i picked em up cheap or I wouldn't have bought em
