looking into buy a tow rig very soon, just wanting yalls input and advice what to look for,do and dont's..both are sharp as hell..thanks ahead

F250 if it was my $$$$$. at work we had about 50 or 60 HDs and about 25 or so fords we got rid of all the chevys cause the frames where tering out where the hitch was mounted . yes i know they where over loaded as hell but so where the fords and they had no problems . we now have all ford and 2 dodge all are holding up fine as far as the chassis but the 6.0 , 6.4 and 6.7 ford engines are :gay: and dropping like flies . just my .02

Also a price range to determine what years your gona get. I have a 05 2500 and would buy another just like it if they still made them.

I got a 09 Chevy 2500HD Duramax LTZ and absolutely love it, don't care to own another truck! Fuel Mileage is so so at 14-15 city 15-17 highway with 35s

Dmax.

07 LBZ 220K and counting.

DSP5/EFILive and custom tumes from "IdahoRob" at Adrenaline Truck Performance.

Wouldn't have anything else

Boys, boys, boys, boys, let the fight begin. I've had diesels since the late 80's but never had a dmax. All my trucks got better milage at low speed than on the interstate. I now have a 13 dodge with 3.42 and an auto on 32's and it gets 18 around town and 16 on the interstate. I'm assuming it takes more power to overcome air at 80 than 60. do the new fords get better milage on the interstate also?

D max. I've had a couple of issues with the def but other than that its been solid.

I am a chevy man for good now. Had a f250 with the 6.0. Ford screwed thousands of people who bought that truck. Don't think I will ever get the bad taste outta my mouth.

Cummins and don't look back! 05 dodge 6speed 18mpg around town 14-15 towing. Hard to beat a Cummins. Only thing I've driven for the past 8 years.

06 6spd 3500. Wouldn't have any other

Another vote for a dmax. I have a 05 with 238,000 and counting. All the other brands just seem like you have to dump money into them with badass pumps, studs etc. and everything else to make them worth a ****.

I have two Dmaxs and they've both been flawless. Cummins pull a bit easier but the trucks seem to fall apart around the engine after 150,000 miles or so.
From what I'm hearing about the new fords you have to pull the cab to do a lot of the engine repairs. Big fees at the dealer.
