Okay so yesterday my buddy calls me to come check out this "project" he picked up. Someone owed him money so this is what they gave him an return.. It's a C.J7, no motor, pretty much needs completely restore .. I would never touch this "project". Anyhow, we get to talking and I ask him what he's going to do with it.. He then tells me he's going to sell it, so of course I say how much and tell him that I will put the word out. And then....
He tells me 1000$!!!! molaugh I told him i wasnt so sure about that, that I damn sure know some folks that were.:. Take a look at these pictures and tell me what you think it is worth if you don't mind. I find it very hard to believe $1000. Oh i forgot to add that it has 2 yj doors inside, those are the only good things I saw on the jeep, other than the grill and the hood being straight. Heres some pics. Tanks for any info!!
I put my finger im pic for reference of tha beefy steering components! :woot:

Thank you very much that's exactly what I was thinking.. And I highly highly doubt there is a title with it. The reason I ask is I had another person tell me maybe 1000 and I couldn't help but laugh. It would be a nightmare 100% total restoration.. Thank you for the input. Just wanted to have something to show him six months from now when he still trying to sell it for 1000. Haha

There are some CJ idiots out there. I wouldn't doubt $1,000 if patient with the sale and advertised nationally.

$1000 is just a general low dollar guess by people that don't know exactly what they are looking at but knows it looks shitty molaugh

what engine? what trans? what year? how much rust? suspension lift or just longer shackles/added springs? condition of top and doors? got better pics? a lot of unknowns

I used to do tune ups and general repairs for a guy that was buying these cj's dirt cheap locally, spit shining them and selling them on ebay for a small fortune. Ebay that turd and get hood rich.

If the tub isn't rusty and it has doors and top, I would say it would bring $1000. I wouldn't pay that but it will bring that much if he is halfway patient.

No engine,
some tiny trans/tc/ball of rust in front seat( never seen one) look like junk,
Not sure on year
A **** ton of rust EVERYWHERE not holes in metal but coverd with rust, frame to
Leafs, on some pretty dam small axles,
Hardtop is fawked, One of the VERY few things worth a **** are the YJ doors, probably clean up decent, faded from sun and scratched,
Thats the only pics i took, Usually i can see how i would do a project, But from what i could tell EVERY single part needed replacing or some serious work except doors, hood was straight, and chrome grill was clean for its age... Looked like a nitemare and hell of a money pit.
