I know a few people here have this how tight do you tighten the but and bolts on the hydraulic cylinder cradle mine keeps, slipping out and at 35 ft lbs and afraid I'll crunch the cylinder body any here's a pic of the nuts I'm talking about

It was my understabding that the outer part of the cylinder is an external housing and that the cylinder dosnt actually ride on that part. That being said I did dent mine some and it hasn't caused any issues with how the cylinder works.

FYI I'm not using swags bracketry but some brackets I made that mimic his design.

Mine flew all the way out one time and I put it back together and hit it with impact . It has big dents now. :drinkers:

Yeah if it weren't for the bolt holding it in the arm the ram would have probably shot thru garage wall scared the holy hell outta me

I know swags stuff is awesome. We almost bought one of those clamps. But decided to make one. I haven't had a problem with it even moving yet.

Ignore the bolts. Had already had a few by then.

Sent from the mans IPhone.

That's the Copperhead Fab bracket. We made one similar to it when we were running the air over. I've got a few of them laying around if anyone needs one cheap.

copperhead fab sux :afro: cawk!! swag offroads kit is pimp! I got most of a copperhead fab kit laying on bench, they sent it to me missing parts after 3 month wait

Does anyone else's cylinder constantly leak hydraulic fluid or is this something common just need to keep some around for back up

I don't know if this has been covered but drilling a small hole in the top side of the cylinder will make it a lot faster pushing the jack shaft back in between bends… allows air to enter the reservoir faster and generally makes the setup easier to operate… FWIW

??? Not sure what your talking about it already has a hole with a rubber plug where you talking about filling a hole pics if ya don't mind.

If you take the rubber plug out it does the same thing except its a bigger hole located in a spot more prone to leaking if you put the bender up for storage, also the rubber plug is sometimes on the bottom of the jack so that won't really work.. My bender is at my buddies house right now so it'll be a bit before i can get you a pic..

The outer part of the cylinder is just a fluid reservoir (i know- thanks captain obvious) so opening it up to air will allow fluid to travel a little faster when you're pushing the shaft back in (lol) or pulling it out to where you want to start bending..

without being able to get you a pic the best i can describe it is drill the smallest hole you can under the swag logo on the bracket in your first pic...
