Are you the man of your household? NSFW thread spinoff

It came up on my G+ feed a couple days ago. I was kind of wondering why / mildly offended that the internet felt the need to send it to me.
 
Maybe this should have been two separate threads for those with kids and those without seeing as it's two totally different spectrums, for the most part. I've lost friends to women that don't have kids. I swear it's a humorous pathetic thing to watch!

Yes, I re-read the OP and I was the exact same way before I had kids. I always thought all my buddies with kids were just complete pussies. I was 100% mentally incapable of understanding until I had one and then BAM, it hits you like a brick in the face how it all makes sense all of a sudden. People without kids say they get it sometimes, but I'm not sure its actually possible until you have one. It wasn't for me. I almost feel bad for all the **** I gave my friends now. :)

I won't argue childcare here....I have my own beliefs and firm where I stand on them.

I don't think questioning a person's child care is a wise path to go down and would be an awful thread derailment.
 
I have held off posting in this thread about my personal situation and will not add anything other than the thread needs to be split up married and kids, married and I'm a BADASS!

My girlfriend complains only about not having sex enough lol(conflicting work schedules) so I win I think.
She loves my jeep build and says she is ready to ride in it. So I really can't complain
 
when I met mine I had a hot rod truck, a dirt track car, and my Bronco. I'd run around all weekend, car show Thursday and Friday, race Saturday, and wheel with pholmann Sunday. **** took its toll on my body working on all that **** Monday-Wednesday, and took a toll on our bank account. We both decided, but she brought it up first, that I needed to pick a hobby. I chose wheelin and never looked back. When I need a racing fix, I go help my buddies in the pits, when I need my hot rod fix, I go to a car show.
Now when I need parts or want to go wheelin, I see if we can clear it after bills and purchase or go. My ol' lady is a huge Jew, but I get what I want most times... especially if I get my buddies to ask.

Ive missed something on here about needing split up into with kids or without. I have a 7 yr old daughter myself and she is first on everything thing. I miss a lot of good wheeling trips because she does competitive dance and cheer. ( yep I'm a friggin cheer dad). But I wouldn't miss one of her competitions for love or money. I catch a lot of hell from my buddies over it but it's all good. That's what good friends are for. After my first marriage disaster with the controlling bitch from hell I couldn't imagine what my life would be like with out Amy and my daughter. She has helped change me into a better person stands by my side no matter what and loves to wheel as much as I do and never questions any purchase that is for the jeep or offroad related. Hell that's all I spend my money on so I guess I'm good thumb.gif

YOLO :woot: I spent 40+ years living the bachelor life (and doing it damn well too!) I found a woman who accepts me, my never grow up attitude, toys and passion for the things I enjoy as part of who I am. If she was against me being happy, she would not be in the picture. End of story.

I am thrifty and never spend money recklessly. We have our own accts. I have a friend who lets is wife boss him around like he's a little kid. Its sickening.
Funny thing is, as a lot of men get older, balder, fatter, & lose passion for life in general. They conveniently use the "wife" as the blanket excuse for everything, when in reality, their wife would like to see them get out of the house and do something that makes them happy -this is worse than not wearing the pants.

Now yet another version of this is, men who's wives are out at casinos, mall, trips, etc burning up credit cards which they cant pay. and the men allow this -that's not cool either.

As far as porn, ha. She doesn't care... about the only thing she give me a hard time about is pics I have in boxes stored away that have old GFs in them...its all history, and Im nastalgic like that...especially when they are neked pics..when Im 70, I'll open the time capsule and remember how awesome I was! hitit
 
i agree with buddy tony on this topic. I am not married yet but its gettin closer. As long as my family, future family, an future kids are took care of and we have what we need im goin buy what ever i want if i can afford it. From a christian point of view the man is posed to be MAN of the house anyways an if not you will be judged for that by God. Woman was made from mans side to be his equal an partner. not to be above him

You sound EXACTLY like me lol. My view is the same on pretty much all of that. I can only name a couple of my friends out of many, that really have a happy marriage. The others are always drama filled, whether it be money related, wife being a total bitch, or the guy actually being a ****, but nonetheless, people usually get married too early, have kids, then view it as more trouble to divorce and deal with custody, than to just stay with the "bitch of a wife" so they spend the rest of their lives miserable at home, cheating if possible, and ultimately not even enjoying themselves on guys night out, because they are thinking constantly about the bullshit going on at home. **** that. My ass will be single the rest of my life before I shack down with a girl that ruins my life. With that said, I really hope to find a good one to keep around one day. While I do enjoy dabbling with the abundance of sluts around, I had much rather have a good looking one that I could depend on and still get ass from on the reg...and all that sappy stuff about growing old together and whatnot. BUT.....I'm not slowing down for just any ole gurl...she gon' hafta be hella unique! :dblthumb:
 
I am a fortunate man to have married a good woman over 30 years ago. Her parents raised her right. She wants me to be happy so she does not complain about my hobby. She gets my supplies and has them ready for the wheeling trips.

There are some women out there who will try to separate a man from his family and friends. They will try to effeminate and control him. After they change him to what they think that they want, they leave him for a real man.
