I'm not sure. Pretty sure 3 teeth broke at once then the rest of the damaged teeth happens from driving it another mile and a half. Its a Dana 30 ring gear. I forgot how small they were till it came off the carrier. Can't believe it held up as long as it did. Had to be the tru-trac keeping it alive. Had it been a locker I think it wouldn't have lasted half as long.

I will give you a free Dana 60 housing after this fails.

My carrier broke in both my 30 and my 8.25. I wish you luck but the truth of the matter is your always gonna have a weak spot just pick what you find easiest to replace and wheel on. I say R/P or carrier fails cause you can only put so much leverage on so little metal

Dana 30s are kinda sorta tough for what they are, but you can never bounce one and make it live. 35s and gentle foot will hold up for a while, but always gotta keep in mind what you're doin.
