Ok so......are you saying you like them or not? The thread is bands that SUCK. I'll agree to about half your list. Who doesn't like Charlie Daniels and Marshall Tucker. Actually the only ones in your list that just fawkin suck are def leopard and motley crew.

Not really. My original thought was about bands that are considered classic, all-time greats, that suck in reality. Most of what people are listing may or may not suck but I would not include in any list of all-time greats.

Puddle of Mudd is a good example. I like them a lot but I would not put them in the all-time greats category even so. I wish Wes Scantlin could get his **** together and stay out of prison long enough to produce a few more albums before he kills himself with an accidental OD.

Motley Crew is another good example of one that is probably considered an all-time great but I personally can't stand. I didn't even like them back when it was cool to like them.

The genesis of this thread was Pearl Jam. I understand that they are considered an all-time great but on my personal list of least favorite bands, PJ tops it. I literally can't think of a band that I like less. Eddie Vedder's voice is whiny, grating, and off-key to my ears, they seem to think that every song they make has some sort of greater-than-life meaning that should change the world, their instrumental style is just annoying to me. Their overall sound seems like they just go to the studio, throw some random chords together, put them on repeat, whine into the mic a little, and call it an album. I genuinely think that you have to be on drugs to appreciate their sound. Most PJ fans I have known have been drug addicts. Maybe through the haze of an acid trip PJ sounds great and I'm just missing out?

1000000000.2% agree. People that wear PJ shirts in public I want to kick in the nuts hard enough that it ruins reproduction for them. Not only did they buy the album, they believed in it so much, they bought the shirt. That's the kind of stupid that dooms a species. Bet the dinosaurs bought Pearl Jam shirts, and look at where they are.

Sorry, I don't know how to make it more clear. Be that as it may, I don't mind that it has become something else. Its the internet and threads have a tendency to do that. No big deal.

Has there ever been a thread that didn't derail? I do disagree with the pearl jam thing. I like pearl jam. I don't do drugs. I think its like anything, you like it or you don't.

I listen to pretty much anything, some things just make me want to punch babies. Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Nutritious FAT, Cory Taylor (but not Slipknot), Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffet...
