First, I know everyone is different, and likes diff ****.. And that's fine.. I'm good with that.. I really am. But I don't get, and never have understand the Love most fellas have for football.. Esp college football.. I just may off myself if i was made to sit down and watch football all day.. I went to a football game party one time with my ex wife, and them fukers As serious as they could, was screaming at the TV like the coach could hear them .. **** was insane. I about fell out when the first person started screaming to the top of their lungs.. As I almost died from laughing I looked around and no one else even paid him attention. Like this is some every weekend ****. Wtf.!! I know I'm WAY out numbered here.. So I was wondering.. Is there anyone else that could honestly not give 2 shits about football? And am I the only one that had no clue it was football season?? . Had no clue :****:.. I ain't tryin to piss anyone off. I was just curios if I'm the only one that just don't get it.. 18-22 year old guys running around all day on a field is just miserable to me.. Maybe I'm weirder than I thought.. :dunno: :dunno:

I don't get into it quite like I use to but I still love it. I could have played college ball but I liked drinking and *****. Priorities are a bitch :drinkers:

I couldn't give a **** less about any of the sports. Got no use for any of them. The only one I can even remotely stand is baseball. But basketball,, HATE HATE HATE it!!!! Can't even stand the sound of it on tv! Screech,screech,screetch,screetch,screech.... makes me want to stab a ink pen in my ears.

I made a ****ton of money(in my world) over the last two days. I'll take it. I do love college football, but I love the thought of riding with my little boy on Monday way more.

I truly quit watching a close game with my alma mater for a giggling, drooling 19 month old that wanted to spend time with daddy. I'll gladly chomp on baby fat all day as to watch college football.

ZERO ****s given here!

Re:

I'm not much of a sports fan at all.... but the only thing that gets me is how these guys know all the stats of these college kids and where they came from and what they're doing and all this other **** in their personal lives.

I mean I could understand if they knew all that stuff about the pro stuff because the pro guys play for like 10 15 20 years but these college kids just come out of nowhere for three and a half four years of 15 minutes of fame and then done.

Now in their defense they don't see how I remember a ring and pinion ratios or how to disassemble kingpin front end suspension stuff....yadda yadda yadda..... I work at an automotive specific warehouse and those guys always bring weird car parts to me and ask me how to identify them when they don't have a part number... and usually I can. They usually seem shocked about it but sometimes it's just pretty simple stuff. Simple to me I guess because I know the difference between a brake hose and an air conditioning hose.

But still those are just car parts these guys get into who these college kids trained with growing up and who the coaches were in high school I just don't understand that ....just seems like they have no life to me.

Now don't get me wrong if there is a good game on TV to watch ill watch if nothing really else is on but I can't sit there and watch a blowout of 20-30 points.

About the only thing that I can watch start to finish is motocross and that's mainly because I tried it and failed at it so I understand what those guys are going through.

I absolutely can't stand the **** either. It pisses me off that they make millions of dollars a year to foundle a ****ing ball. To those that like it good for you, but for me personally I'd rather watch the Disney channel all day.

I'm with ya man. I could give a **** less. I played football in high school but never could stand watching it or any other sport. I think baseball is like watching paint dry. I can watch women's volleyball. :****: flashemifyougotem I just like to stir **** with the bama fans since I live about 10 minutes from the vols stadium. I still don't give a **** about it.

Sitting around watching anything is a waste of your life. Get out and do something yourself.

Re:

I like watching college football ,go Dawgs, baseball, but the rest, meh. I don't go bananas at the TV though. Sit, watch, and maybe a beer or food. Go out riding and listen to the radio.

I don't care about sports in general. It really pisses me off how some of these punks make millions, while people like military, police, fire fighters, nurses, doctors, you know, those people who actually help people in great need or make a difference don't even make anywhere close to that. Wife was asking if I would go tailgating once this year, I asked if she would go wheeling with me, conversation over. :****:

I have too much other important **** to do than spend hours upon hours watching sports. Imagine if folks followed politics and what is happening in our country as closely as they follow sports.

Re:

0 fawks given here also!! Never have played nor watched the stuff. It better have a motor on it and not just be going round and round in a circle if you want me to watch it.

If I have nothing else to do I will watch Alabama but I could care less if another football or any ballgame was ever played...a day on the trail or working is better spent time.

Re: Am I the only one? Down.. Set ... hut..

I couldn't care any less about football. I will watch maybe a couple games a season, just to get together with old friends but that's it.

Some of my students skip welding class to go watch football games....

I can't think of a bigger overrated time wasting event than to cheer for overpaid athletes playing a game that bears no influence to reality.

I will catch hell for that but, that's how I feel.

In the old days, players were playing football on the weekends to make extra cash, and then go back and work the steel mills and whatever regular job, all week long.

They would play with pride and people cheered and watched to support their local heroes.

It's a whole another animal now.

I can't stand how the nfl sells "hard hits" DVDs but at the same time fines other players for hard hits.

:rant 0ver:

I'd much rather spend 4 hours working in the shop.

When people talk about games and say things like: "Tennessee vs Alabama" "The UT Game" etc...

I have literally asked what sport, not to be smartass, but because I truly didn't know what sports were in season at the time.

When I worked in Sales, my boss "required" me to read the sports highlights so I could small talk with customers about the latest game.

****ing LAME.

I wouldn't care if they never televised another game, and all "professional" sports went bankrupt.

Maybe more people would get off their ass and DO something, or at least THINK and CARE about something/anything besides ****ing ENTERTAINMENT. ::)

The fact that Congress has hearings related to rules and regulations of professional sports is a travesty in itself. (NFL head injuries, Steroid use in baseball, etc)
