Last weekend I had my transmission break across the tail housing about 3" from mounting bolts. Have had a few people say it may have been because the atlas was not supported on the side. It has a rear out put support and that is it. has any body had this problem? Its been in the buggy for 3 years and this weekend was the hardest its ever been pushed. By the way its a Th350 and not going to change to a Th400 to much to change to chassis. Thanks for any info.

Had this happen on my th400 installed a support around front output since I already had one at rear Also looked into Reid cases that might be an option also I have not had any problems after installing front output support tho

Yes sir when I called PTC to order a new one that's was the first thing I asked was a better case. But they don't offer a Reid case for the th 350. The front support was one thing I was going to do with the new install. Thanks Nate.

I had the same exact thing happen. Although I believe u may drive a lil harder than I do ;D I do believe that mine was from motor mounts coming loose. The washer pulled through the rubber and the motor shifted .. Then it happened again At Choco. Then I noticed it when doing some maintenance .. I have the same exact set up just described Atlas support is underneath from the bottom behind and in line with the TH350 mount. That is the only thing I can think of that calls mind to break. I'm sure all of your mounting is the samE so I would be really curious to the Answer of your question also .. What a nightmare that was..

I'm all rigid mounted no bushings to fail. And yes it is a night mare to change a lot of stuff has to be removed.

The best way to support them is a side mount.
I would like to see some pics of a side mount for them. Its tight in my chassis like to get some different ideas for support.

This seems like the best mounting method.... but what do i know, i run toy cases :dunno:

I bought this mounting plate off ebay. Wouldn't be that hard to make yourself but this one bolted right up and fit perfectly. Just had to buy longer bolts to mount it to the bottom of the case.
