God dam this took to long but finally hit 405 today on bench and 675 squat @245lbs put on a little might be time to up the cardio How the rest of you ****ers doing

Today was first time back in the gym in 5 months. My shoulder screwed me up bad, then I got out of the habit of going to run so things shut down for a while. Problem is when you keep your high calorie diet and stop exercising you put on massive gains. I guess I spend to much time on hardline????

Any updates?

Im a weakling but have been at it a little over 2 years. First steady lifting since high school.

Didnt get my diet on point until after the first year

I've got to get my ass back in gear. I was down 40lbs. And my numbers were going up. Bench was 335, squat 510, and deadlift 515. I let life get in the way though and I've barely touched a weight in 4-5 months. I've put back on about 20 lbs. And I'm sure my numbers would be embarrassing now. It's sad how fast you can lose what you worked so hard for.

I'm 5'10, I cut down to 173 from over 200 in about 6-8 months once i got my diet right, started with stronglift 5x5 program in my basement., lighter than i was in high school,

im back up to 185, paused bench at 280, deadlift 365, below depth squat 315. I have a few discs in lower back that are fcked so i mostly work lighter weight reps in the 6-12 range on squats, deads and bent rows.

Do alot of strict overhead press and weighted pullups/chinups as well as accessory work with bands and plates. Simple squat rack and platform ive slowly pieced together at home. 2-3x a week usually

Hell getting old. I've been lifting off and on for a couple years, this last year most weeks it 3-4 days. Benching I sep the outer end of my collarbone. Holy **** that hurts when it's out. Didn't bench for 3 months, eased back in but nothing heavy is possible anymore. My best bench at 3 times in my life is always about 300 give or take 5 lbs. legs, I never max, haven't since high school (be 39 this weekend). I typically do sets of 10 on squats and DL. Had both acl's done and my knees just hurt most of the time so I don't go crazy on it. I'd like to focus on core more to make sure my back stays healthy for the long run. Overall it just feels good to be lifting again with regularity even if I'm not going for gain or maxes, just maintaining myself and building the small support muscles for health feels good

Agreed, Im 34 and found that having some more muscle mass allows me to maintain my weight much easier. More energy, back hurts less etc

5'7" and 33, peaked at 206 last winter. Dropped 26 for a weight loss challenge and won $500 by March. Mostly kept it off, hovering around 185 and 18% fat and I feel much better on a day to day basis.

Run 2-3 miles (6-8mph pace) in the morning before work and lift heavy after the run.

Squat peaked near 400 last year, but the thought of hurting my back while chasing a young daughter keeps me away from high numbers with squat and DL. Benched 245x3 the other day for a personal record, I figure my max is close to 265.

I could lose another 15 lbs, but I really like food and beer too much
