I believe that even where it is legal everything is done in cash because big banks don't want to get involved.

I can't believe the Feds haven't jumped in on this, hell we could probably pay off the national deficit with the taxes they could collect from weed sales

It's not that they don't want to get involved. It is illegal for them to take proceeds that they know come from illegal activities. Since banks are covered by FDIC, they are federally regulated and ****. They are starting to work through this issue in Colorado finally, but it's just another reason the Feds should legalize it.

Basically they were creating a very dangerous situation where everyone knew that these small weed stores had hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash on hand all the time.

Watch the show high profits on Netflix. It's nuts. One small store did over $100k in sales tax in the first month of sales in Colorado.

They're too ****ing lazy to deal with it! They're making bank off of it now and They don't have to police any weed laws, check any permits, taxes(**** with all the weed farmers that don't pay their taxes )or anything else for that matter. They now get all the kickbacks and all the money from **** they take from huge weed bust! They know people would come out of the woodwork's wanting to grow weed and I don't want to work that hard to regulate it.

More new millionaires made in 1 state the year it went legal. Just like with alcohol, the new taxes generated are more than worth the trouble to regulate it. Currently it is here and there are no taxes generated to fight it. Take the cartel out of it and start funding entrepreneurs and let them spend the money locally. Vicious circle how money works.

It's crazy how money works! The cartel would start pushing the other drugs harder! They are running insane amounts of heroin laced with other **** into Tennessee ! It's killing a bunch of people quick.

Legalize the heroin too. I'm not interested in selling that, but get it pure, make it available and let the people off themselves. People are going to do what they are going to do. Make it easier to find it instead of people trying to make it in the back of their Iroc Zed.

Exactly! Just let Darwinism do its thing! Same reason we should remove a bunch of those dumb warning signs.

This is my exact philosophy. I think they should give the drugs away for free. Takes all the power away from the cartels. Stops crime to get drug money. Give them the option of 30 days supply of drugs or a free trip to rehab. You give a heroin addict 30 days worth of heroin, you'll never see them again. Bury them and go on. Drug problem would eventually cure itself.

Thank God there is someone else that gets it. Tell anyone from age 2-115 years of age NO! If they have any stones about them, they will do whatever you said NO to, regardless of repercussions. My daughter has found pens and markers and written on the door frame in the house and on the couch twice. She knows it is wrong, she knows she's getting a whipping and we have hidden and moved all the writing utensils. Guess what, she stacks stuff up to get on the fridge, cabinets, figures out how to get into the drawers and does it again, knowing the consequences. Not quite the same as drugs, but it is what she wants to do and she is ok with the consequences. I can only step it up so far and only hide things so well. What can I say, she is my daughter.

Bonus- they will die quicker so less time the Gov has to support them, less time to procreate

Sounds good them!!! Kill them all. Would love to get rid of all these worthless ****er stealing **** for drug money

I actually went to a seminar of the whole issues created because of the state by state regulations and the opposite regs at the federal level.

Like can a legal grow op., legally retain SS for its employees.
Or can a Federal Energy co under the Dept. of Energy (TVA) interconnect and sell electricity to a grow op. or a dispensary.

Or supply water to them...

And as for growing in the open, thats never happening. This stuff is all hydro and inside. The power consumption footprint of these warehouses is on par with a server farm. Huge power consumers.

Federal Income Tax implications due to not approved as legal by the Fed.
And does bankruptcy law apply?

Just to name a few topics discussed. Really opened my eyes.

You may be Hardline's Most Interesting Man. How do you find time to fit a seminar into your schedule?

Haha, not even close!
I was in Wenachee, WA for work for a conference last July. And they had tons of speakers on various power/grid/reliability topics going on for two days in multiple rooms.
But when I saw one called "Reefer Madness", I had to go. The topic was very NW United States and MJ is legal in Washington state, and they have seen first hand the issues and lack of effort to resolve the seams issues between the state and the feds by the feds. In the PacNW the major utilities (water & power) are D.O.E. federal entities.
