I've got some more work to do on the front susp.....
I got my new tranny/t-case adapter to replace the broken one....and build a little mount for that....

and then hopefully around this coming next weekend.....its body and tube time....
I've got the whole week of the 4th off, so I'm hoping to get a WHOLE bunch of work banged out, and it'll be a whole week and 2 weekends worth of work on the rig w/o posting any pictures for you guys.....so there should be a pretty big jump.....

less than a month until goldendale....this is gonna be cutting it CLOSE....I'm still hoping to have it together enough to take it up there.....we'll see.

and I'm now pretty certain I'm gonna need a spring a little longer than the stock TJ rears I've got....those fawkers are SHORT....
who was it that sayed they had some lifted rear TJ's????.....

Is there any room to brace the lowers back to the frame? Or does the 205 become permanently installed at that point?

I intend to do something w/ those....

and it's kinda a crap shoot at that point whether or not I can pull the t-cases....

I'm figuring.....when it comes to that, I'll try to wiggle them out around the side of the tranny a little, and if I can't get them out.....then at that point I'll cut that rear cross tube, and put it back together as a bolted in piece....

I'd love to hippy.....

but I'm still not sure if the new rig is gonna make it to GD......

and I'm damned sure that if it does.....its not gonna be 'done'....

Does your uppers allow for plenty of flex? I know that bushing/rod ends on a link will work but the way you mounted your uppers at the axle kinda act like the suspension is already flexed when level and then just gets worse from there?

Just because they're not parallel with the ground doesn't mean they're "flexed". The bushing itself is normalized, doesn't have any forces (bind) in it when the truck is sitting still and square.

Yep your right now that I look at it again.

Just looks like it dosent get much travel before the rod end is flexed out.

I saw it this weekend and its not gonna have any trouble flexing.

Bern,I have the technology to keep pictures going on this thread while your off work.I was gonna come down and help you a few days during the week(if you want).

w/ just the single rod end (bushing on the other end) w/ the high-misalignment spacers I've got, its got WAY more potential travel than I'll prolly ever be able/want to afford springs/shocks for....

that was also my biggest concern Erik, w/ just having rod ends at one end of the tube.....but its not going to have any sort of issues like that. I suppose if I were building a ramp queen, eventually it would raise some issues, but at the relatively tame amount of travel I'm looking to get out of this, I think it'll be just fine...
