:wtf: causes this:

Passenger front, inner side...? Two deep grooves in the rotor and humps in the pad...?

Yup, rocks. My dust shields on the TJ used to trap rocks in there all the time and cause wear like that.

I have autozone lifetime warranty brake parts, but I just dont care. I consider it custom slotting.

Looks like somebody let a set of pads go to metal and left two rivet grooves. Then, new pads on the rotors. Bam, funny wear.

Rocks won't do that. I have actually seen that happen for no apparent reason a # of times on old straight axle'd chevs...

Considering the (lack of) maintenance the previous owner(s) gave it... I wouldn't be surprised... The passenger side radius arm busing was non existent, and the wheel would move fore/aft about 1/2"... Plus the groovy factory plugs and wires that were on it with 168,000 miles...

I'm almost done with 4 ball joints, radius arm bushings, wheel bearing repack, manual hub conversion, and (good thing I got them since the old ones were warped anyway..) rotors..

Thanks guys. :awesomework:
