took it apart and a missing c-clip on the reverse plunger cause everything to jam.

Took my 72 bronco out for drive after sitting for a while. Drove and ran fine then when I put into 1st and it won't come out? Tried popping the clutch, feathering it everything to change the load and no dice. Any ideas before I pull eveything out to take it apart?

It's been broke into a work, gym, and now at home so neighborhood isn't the problem. I'll be going out this weekend to look at alarms.

I generally don't leave anything in the truck because of past breakins. They got a couple of cd's and an old sirius remote. Probably $40 worth of crap.:rolleyes:

What's the best way to flush this thing? Searching has come up with sucking it out of the reservoir and refilling several times? This seems like a waste of good fluid. Can I just disconnect one of the lines to the cooler and drain it that way? I can see those lines and may actually be able to...

The noise is a squeaking noise and appears to be coming from the rack and not the pump. Fluid is old so maybe I'll start with a flush and see.

Wife's 2002 ford escape started making noise yesterday when turning the steering wheel. Checked fluid and its full. Noise only happens when turning from a stopped position and doesn't seem to do it at speed. the noise seems to be coming from the lower in the car and not at the pump. Tried...

the bracket for the oil cooler bolts to the back of the condensor so removing it looks like the only way to mount it.:mad::rolleyes:

Is there anyway to recover the coolant from the AC system at home? I need to remove the condenser to install my oil cooler on my truck. Or do I just crack open the fittings and let it drain itself and clean up the mess?

Anybody know where to pick up a machinists straight edge in the south sound? Want to make sure the heads and block are good before putting my motor back together. TIA

It's small puddeling!!! What causes this?? Turbo going bad?

Any ideas why there would be oil in the inlet and outlet piping for the turbo? Started taking this thing apart and noticed oil in both tubes and guessing it's not supposed to be there??

Just remove the EGR valve and looks like the cooler is leaking. All of the soot was more like sludge than soot and nice and moist. So now it's time to clean up the garage so I can get in there and start tearing it apart. Thanks for all the pointers.

Plan on doing that this weekend after I replace the vacuum booster in the wifes car.:rolleyes:

so I just hooked my truck up to my buddies scanner and didn't get any codes which is what I expected. I did get 3 inspection/maintenance monitors: Misfire - Misfire Monitor Comp- Comprehensive components monitor EGR- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Not sure what to take from that, but it also did not...

So on the drive home yesterday it smoked/ steamed at startup and continued till fully warmed up. Then it only lightly smoked a nice blue smoke. Guess I'll ride the bike a couple more days and pull the EGR valve and see if this is my problem. Thanks
