Keep in mind, that even with a 8.5 foot camper on a short box, you will still need a stinger to tow.

They only need to be snug. Happy Jacks sells a a turn buckle style tahthas a spring in it to help obsorbe the shock of teh road. If you tighten them to much and the camper hops, it could pull the side of the camper off or out :rolleyes:

Others can correct me if i am wrong but i do believe it was refering to width. It created a disscision with the guys i was with, and we talked about being able to bring our tow rigs (not that we ever would).

I have never seen any thing to state a width restriction? The ORV maps say nothing about width restrictions and they are put out by the sherrif dept that patrols teh areas. Where did the info come from?

I chose 72-80. The Barbie Jeep is currently 73" but if i change wheels i can get it down to 69". Yeah i can meet 72" but it would limit many other people i know who are close or over 80". I was a bit surprised when i seen the sign at Tahuya that read 96" or less :eeek:
