I had to reset the timing after replacing the intake gaskets, Yes I did it with a light and brown wire under dash disconnected. EGR is new and is installed correctly. Reluctor phasing? I don't know what that is and how to check it. Coil could be swapped with the 4.3, may try that today...

I replaced the idle speed control actuator solenoid and noticed no change. I did get the check engine light but didn't actually check the code. I figured it was the map code. I will go do that now just to be sure.

Still not running better. Intake gaskets are replaced. I can't find any vac leaks but still seems to be running lean. When I disconnect the MAP sensor vac feed and plug it off, it starts to run rich, and stays running when shifted into gear (wich is more than it has done in a while), starts and...

Ok so when they start to go bad, can they lockup just enough to kill an engine at idle, but still work at a higher RPM than idle?
