So I found a trans in monroe for $50, noisey in 5th gear. I have never rebuilt a transmission before, how hard would it be to either replace the reverse gear in mine or replace 5th gear in the other one?
If the belt jumped, before you go to the trouble of pulling the head, throw a new belt on and see if it runs. You don't have to do a full reassemble, just throw the crank pulley and motor mount back in and try to fire it up.
It's not likely, but other than an internal problem in the detroit, a broken axle makes the most sense to me. Does the rear axle try to steer the truck when you hit the gas?
I'm thinking about pulling the factory cruise control out of my wheeler and putting it into my daily. Does anyone know if this is going to require me to swap the wiring harness/ecu?
Just confirmed it with the cadillac dealer. It has to be special ordered with the controller. Thanks guys. Kind of a bummer, I was looking forward to pimping the cadillac up to reiter. :booo:
Yup. The brakes on the trailer I picked up yesterday worked on my friends dodge, but weren't working with my 1 ton. Planning on using the cadillac on thursday to tow my truck, but I won't do it if three trailer brakes aren't working.
X2. A gas cap loose code is basically telling you that the EVAP system has a gross leak, which can be caused by an NVLD pump. Before condemning the pump, do a visual inspection of all the EVAP lines from the tank to the engine.
