    Pane tank question

Apparently there are also laws on the books for most states on how much propane you can carry in an enclosed vehicle. But all I can find is pages talking about the law:

    Pane tank question

All I know is that I was on a trip in Oregon where someone tried to use some BBQ tanks to extend the range on their propane rig. It ended in us have to stop every 15 minutes so they could swap tanks or let them warm up or whatever. Not a lot of fun.

    Would you run it?

A new piston is 25 dollars on E-Bay, for that price I would just replace it. Heck, a new piston, ring and pin kit is only 81.65 with free shipping! A bargain! :D

    Samurai locker

Yes, or you can spend a bit extra and get side gears with the locker. On a side note, when you upgrade to the Chromo front axles the birfields are slightly larger then stock so you will have to pull the kingpins and the knuckle to put the front axle in. An alternative is to get a set of...

    universal fender flares?

There are the rubber flares from JC Whitney, not sure what size you need to become legal. I run them on my DD Tracker, they seem to hold up pretty well. http://www.jcwhitney.com/rubber-fender-extensions-fender-flares/p2008750.jcwx

    Tire Repair...Anyone still do it?

If you know someone in the farming community find out who does their tractor tire repairs and give them a try.

    Body Swap

Don't you know you have to show a before shot so people realize how much nicer it looks now? :D

Went crazy with the bed liner

Looks good, I like that you kept the red highlighting on Jeep. Stands out nicely. It will look better in 2nd place at TTCW behind us. :D

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

50 Dollar Paint Job We had 50 bills burning a whole in our collective pockets and wasn't sure what to do with it. So why not get a gallon of paint, some thinner and sand paper and make the SJ look nice and presentable for the 4th of July parade? Some additional shots of the vehicle during...

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

Ran into some issues with repairing the brake lines, mainly due to the spares I thought I had not actually existing. A trip to the auto parts store provided the wrong parts, then we raided the parts tracker for something that looked like what we were looking for. So that meant it was time for...

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

That's a good idea, I'll see how it runs then might give that a try. :)

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

I didn't want to have to move/replace the gas tank. If I move it any further back I'll run into it on compression.

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

Today I will be picking up new bolts, as all the parts stores were closed yesterday. Then putting the brakes back on so I know what needs to be replaced. New bushings will be here tomorrow. When I'm in Seattle... Oh well. Full size pics at http://picasaweb.google.com/CrawlersNW/4Link# So...

That is one way to get rid of some un-needed weight quickly. :D

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

Using some stock Tracker rear coils, 3.5" so we can go with longer springs if needed. We also have a set of TJ rear coils we might try swapping in that have a bit more spring to them. It should sit about the same height as my old SPOA did in the rear. :)

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

It should be ready by then. We are hoping to have it rolling next Sunday, might even get a test run in before the Cleanup. :D

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

Pictures from the work finished up this last Sunday. Links are done, mounts are built. The steps for next weekend is to tack the frame mounts in place, put the bump stops on the upper spring mounts and make sure nothing binds up. Then weld it in place and give it a quick test. The new...

    SJ-410 4-Link Project

SJ-410 Project Putting up pictures from the last few weekends of building on the SJ-410. Axle looks like we can move it back about an inch and still clear the gas tank. Full picture set can be found at http://picasaweb.google.com/CrawlersNW/4Link# Shots from the first weekend. Upper link...

    what tires????

I like the Pro Comp Extreme MTR. They aren't as cheap as they used to be and not quite as much traction as the TSL off-road but they have better sidewalls then the old BFG MTR's I had. They drive fine without vibration without balancing them. Of course, I haven't taken them over 50. Except...

    Jeep 2.5 ltr Performance

Put a 4.0L Throttle Body on it and a short ram air filter. That will give you a bit more power and faster throttle response. And it will stop you front drinking water when you go in a mud puddle, the stock air intake is pretty good about doing the opposite.
