    Correct me if I'm wrong

Help me with my math I want to figure out how many times the drive shaft needs to turn to go 30 miles an hour? here are the specs: 47" tire = (12.25' Circumference) 5.13 axle ratio 30(mph)x5,280(feet in a mile)=158,400 (feet per hour) 158,400/ 12.25'(tire circumference)= 12,930.61 tire...

    Xj starting problems

My Douchebag friend asked me to post this question. He has replaced the starter, ignition switch, starter relays, neutral switch, and checked the fuses, and his XJ won't start. He is hoping for some other suggestions. And yes the battery is charged, and connected.

anyone else have this prob with leaf springs?

You should do 1/4 eliptic, or coils, and avoid the bending problems.
  9. JPTHING

    What leafs

this is for a 1/4 eliptic setup, so we only care about something that is near 36" from centering pin to loop. More length will mean more droop. JSYK I don't care to hear BS problems with too much droop.

  11. JPTHING

    What leafs

I have a friend who is looking for some leafs that would be about 72" long or somewhere around, from hoop to center pin would be about 36" If anyone knows of some let me know. Also if anyone has some they want to sell let me know.

    nissan pathfinder build

I think building a Pathfinder is a great idea. Because I have always liked Nissans over toyotas I always loved the idea to build one. I had a 1988 with 303xxx miles(I put another 100k mi. on it)that I redneck lifted 4" and took to Moab in 1998, it did great for a DD with 33" Dunlops. I have...

    Dodge unit bearings

Does the Dodge unit bearing for the AAM front axle come in a 35 spline version, or are they 30 spline? I still have this AAM front axle, that I am considering to install into my Ford, so I can steal the D60 to throw into my YJ. I am either considering throwing the unit bearings from the D60...

need some help with my 92 wrangler t-case the shifter is bound up

I did mine with a grinder after pulling the t-case out 4 times, even swapping all the parts, and putting the SYE into 2 other T-cases. Mine was so long for the JB conversions SYE, that one of the case halves broke when I bolted the SYE housing down. It is super easy to just pull the SYE housing...

    Dana 80 questions

Well if only 37 spline was enough then why would they make a 40 Spline axle? Why would Manufacturers make 300m shafts? Of course they could break. It just depends how much bind my tire is in while cranked all the way to one side, with a heavy foot.

    Dana 80 questions

I already have a Hybrid 14 bolt front axle, I am just working on a set of axles for my YJ.

    Dana 80 questions

because 40 spline shafts are very unlikely to break. I absolutely hate to break. With that in mind I know if I had a Dana 60 with 40 spline shafts the ring and pinion would break. So I am going down the line and finding items that will break, so this was the next step.
