    LQ4 builder value?

From what I've read the 4l80 isn't any larger than a TH400 , just longer. My Vette was originally LS5 equipped but the 454 is long gone so it's not super valuable car but I'm not willing to hack the floor/tunnel ether.

    LQ4 builder value?

Did a little reading on the lifter problems , with any luck that's where this engines noise is coming from. Van turned out to be a 07 which were the end of the line for the LQ series. Biggest problem is my son's giving the "slight knock" description ...the shop he works at does mostly 5.9/7.3...

    LQ4 builder value?

Shop my son works at parted a van and has a lq4/4l80 left over and I thought about picking it up to build for my 70 Vette. Combo has 150K on it but the trans got rebuilt at 130K. The motor was running fine but sounded like a slight rod knock or piston slap so I'm thinking of maybe a performance...

    Custom Dana 70 front

Looks good, I thought about something like this when I built my 60 but never could find a F70. I Take it there are a bunch of plug welds that have been smoothed and painted? Got any pics of it in process...?

    Chevy dana 60 ?

Yep, it's a 2"x16 . A thread file with I.D capabilities will do the trick and not cost all that much. But with that being said a new nut will probably cost less. A decent set of thread files in the toolbox is never a bad thing.

    14 bolt shave and intro

I've done two 14 bolt ring gears ..one a OEM and one a Yukon , I can tell you the stock GM gear was one tough bitch. The first gear I did was the Yukon and I did it on a large engine lathe and it beat the **** out of the tools but was doable. I started the OEM ring on the lathe but quickly...

    Ford Sterling 10.5 rear diff?

Thanks but I don't need another one I need to see if there's any way to make one work halfway decent ... The diff in my truck has worked like **** since new..and from what I've heard every other SD owner say this is the norm. Just wanting see if it can be tightened up a bit.

    Ford Sterling 10.5 rear diff?

My 00 PSD F350 SD daily driver/ trailer dragger that has the factory LS in the rear 10.5 has started sucking more than usual. When new it was only OK and required to spin the hell out of one tire to get the limited slip to start working. I'm considering rebuilding the LS and have heard that...
