    22re temp issue

I dont know, I think the temp issue was just a fart. I think its fine, but it does seem to run colder than I think is normal but I dont know. Its got a fresh OEM Tstat when I did the motor swap. TPS is bad so I am replacing that tomorrow. This will probably cure some other funky running issues...

    My new to me TJ

    22re temp issue

The truck never runs hot at all... it runs COLD... really cold. But when I open the heater valve to allow water to run into the heater core (heating the cab) the temp gauge moves up to a nice (operationg) temp spot on the gauge. The gauge probe is in the stock spot on this '93 22re.

    22re temp issue

I got this 22re in my 81 pickup and I have been finding little issues lately that are odd to me. I am almost sure the TPS is bad cause it has trouble idling when warm, stumbles and dies. Runs better with it unplugged. Ever since I installed it, It never really warmed up all the way. I installed...

    bending hard brake line?

I would spend the money on the best flaring tool you can and forget about the bender or buy the cheapest bender if you really want one. I use scrap tube or other round things to make a nice radius or just use your hands. The flare is way more important than the bend. If I did a lot of brake...

    Tool Storage?

I had the same black cart for 6 years... loaded also! I just gave it to my dad for his new shop. He will probably use it for a good 20 more years since he never upgrades anything. I for one pick and chose what I get at HF... so far, I am beyond impressed with this big toolbox.

    Tool Storage?

Ya I looked at the Costco box also, a friend has one. I wanted one that was work bench high and long. Not really stacked high. I did end up buying the cheap china HF junk 72" tool box. Damn near EVERYTHING is built over seas these days. If you ask me, SnapOn and others of the same price range...

    12v into a 97 f-250?

To bad you are not up north, Diesel Outfitters has 2 12v swap trucks in the shop right now. Both are newer rigs but Mike knows what kinda work goes into it. Mike did say that the kits are kinda worthless and he ends up building half the stuff himself. He does all his own harnesses also. One...

    Roll Cage Tubing Material Grade

:corn: this could be a **** show. don't think they make "tube" in A36.... I could be wrong. Most guys run your basic A513 DOM tube. The A513 is the grade and the DOM is the type. I would stick with that and size it correctly to the weight of your rig. Or you could use pipe.

HAHAHAHAHA.... or others from the slant eye tribe. Its like we hired everyone out of Vancouver BC to work here.

    Tool Storage?

I think some of you guys are a little brain washed about quality and American made. Just cause its USA made don't make it better or worse... And using aircraft as a comparison to a tool box is a little crazy, trust me... I work at Boeing and it makes me not want to fly most days. I have surfed...

    Tool Storage?

Ok, this might turn into a pissing match but I would rather keep it to the facts and not bash any company or person that might own something from that company. With that said, I am in the market for a tool box. I don't want to make payments or spend a load of money on the box its self so I...

    attn.TIG welders: miller syncrowave 250

I know this thread turned into a **** comparing show back in the day but I had to bump it from the dead. I figured its safe since have the poster in this thread are banned and the others don't come on here anymore. Dusted off the tig skills (what little I have) today and it felt good. I had fun...

    Wheeler only parking

What are you planning to use as a cover? Would be cool to get a huge colvert and cut it in half.... not sure if they make them that big but I have seen some big ones.

    81 toyota charging

Mine does the same thing... not sure why. I removed the charge light relay and the light is off now. Its an idiot light I think. I have the SR5 gauge monitoring volts and I have had zero charging issues in over a year of the relay being removed. Try that, worst case you might have a dead batt in...

    Floor tranny jack

Mike, you might want to go cheap on a floor tranny jack since you plan on installing a lift soon. Then you will want a tall one for under your lift.

    Toy Story

Well I got it all back together yesterday and let the FIPG dry over night, filled it with fluids today and fired it up. No issues at all, got it all timed and topped off. I also did a valve adjust while I was in there. Damn thing runs great, way more power. What I think the PO did was when he...

    Toy Story

Ok so here is a pic on how the cam is sitting now that I have moved it one tooth. It is at TDC in this pic. I have not buttoned it back up yet so I could change it if it looks odd to more trained eyes.
