    Pane tank question

Seen pictures of rigs doing it, but Got Propane says no go in SUVs or trunks. I assume that is cause in the case of a leak the vapor would need a place to go.

    Pane tank question

I am really unfamiliar with propane. I know motors tend to stay cleaner and that it acts like fuel injection without all the wiring.

    Pane tank question

Ok thanks. I was hoping I would be able to have a long ass run time on a single tank, but if a forklift tank will run all day then cool. Maybe set it up with two tanks. We plan to be using it a good distance from any form of gas station so being able to go for extended times was the goal.

    Pane tank question

Is there a difference in propane tanks? I don't use pane for anything so I have never had to deal with the tanks before. I am planning a trail only rig with my brother to start building after the move and was wanting to run pane on a SBC. Would a 40lb tank of the shelf at the local feed store...

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

Ya that's what he claimed he was doing. The trail he was on can be done in any stock rig, even a full size with no snow. He had cell reception, but everyone he called was working more then 1 hour away or did not pick up, hence why he called me. I am not going to pretend that I have not been up...

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

This was my brothers plan. The trail they were on can be done in a stock fullsize when the snow is gone. The snow in North Idaho changes the whole thing. What he did was stick his front right tire between a log and a stump wedging it in. It was to slick to drive out of, and then shorted out the...

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

I also don't have to be miles into the woods in 4low on a trail to get to work.

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

I don't like solo runs cause if you flop and cant climb out or call anyone then you are ****ed. not worth it to me. I have kids to come home to. I would much rather hook up with a friend to hit the trails with.

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

He was full on retarded for doing it. He was only about a 2 hour walk to a gas station due to the snow adding time. The part that pissed me off later was when I found out he had his two little girls with him (5 and 1). The area he was in was just outside Athol south on 95. He went a few miles up...

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

He got it to start. Not sure what the issue was but the dumbass was out alone. Now he is working on getting out of his stuck situation and my Dad is on his way with his CJ5 to make sure he gets out and back to the road.

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

He was using a screw driver to operate the winch and hit the + and - at the same time. He is going to have to hike out no matter what at this point.

XJ stuck in snow with zero power!!!

So my brother calls me to ask what he needs to look at and fix after arcing his winch on his XJ. He is stuck in the wood in North Idaho in snow and has zero power. Found one fuse that was blown and replaced it but still nothing. He doesn't have much for tools or any test stuff with him...

    Emissions question

Still gotta deal with the test? That sucks. So what are the regulations for say a V8 swap into a newer Tacoma like a 99 or so? How would it be run through the test? Or would it just fail?

    Emissions question

I was talking to a guy at work and he asked if rebuilt/salvage titles were emissions exempt. I was not sure so figured I would ask here and see if anyone has experience with this.

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

I may have to take you up on that.

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

Looked at the grounds and connections yesterday and all look good. cleaned a few up and made sure all were tight. I still need to check fuel pressure but have to buy a gauge first. That's about all I have left at this point. Thinking its the pump being ****. If that's the case then I will have...

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

Ya they are on top on the left and right sides and come together at a T fitting, and then the tube follows the fuel line.

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

By the way, what are the two deals that are on the right and left sides of the tank? Was told they are roll detection things?

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

Ok, well I will pick up a gauge tomorrow and see what I get. What should I be at or around? The pump I used was cheaper then most cause I was on a budget when I replaced it and needed to get it done in a hurry.

    Jeep 4.0 fuel issues? Maybe?

Replaced the whole set up in the tank. Could it be an air leak in the return lines to the tank maybe? I was also told about a plunger type deal in the intake side that gums up. I have not spent a whole lot of time on the 4.0s for a while.
