    Damn Dodge

Well, it's not a dually, probably why I got .5mpg better.:eeek::haha: I actually opted for the shitty fuel economy, I just don't tow and drive it enough to have the fuel economy come anywhere near offsetting the costs of owning a diesel. For the cost of repairing just your fuel pumping issues...

If it helps, you made me feel better about my $2,000 gas bill from driving to KOH and back.

    Nylon brake line

I've started moving away from the teflon lines, which is what is inside those steel braided flex hoses. The ends break too easily, the nylon can fail without any visual warnings. On my wife's TJ, when I get a chance it'll be short rubber lines with steel line running down an upper control...

    peugeot trans swaps

doh. :booo: Oh, if he swaps the bellhousing over, he needs the fork too, I don't remember them being the same between the two styles.

    peugeot trans swaps

Any will work, ideally you'll land a 94 and up to get the internal slave. If you don't, you can convert it to internal by getting a newer bellhousing and tcase input cover. Pilot pushing may or may not be an issue, first and last one I did, the one from the AX-15 rebuild kit fir the 88 4.2L...

    CB issues

I thought it was also better, that if you do have too much cable, you don't coil it but more like wad it. Or is that a wives tale.

    Wrangler Trans Swap...

Even if you don't think the tranny let go. Assume the T/C is bad or filled with bad stuff and replace it when you put a rebuild tranny in it.

    HudonCustoms gets new shop!

Personally, I would at least drop the tube in the slab if it isn't a lot of $$$. It leaves you with options without spending a lot of money. After having spent 2 solid days in a shop under a lift working on a Jeep. The shop I got up to 45-50F from 35F. But my feet were not appreciating the...

    Electrical help

Had my Jeep do something similar. Turn the key, hear a clank, and two yellow tops go dead - DEAD, no lights, nothing. The CB which is on it's own fuse block hard wired to the battery went dead too. After a bit, it would come back on, on it's own. Swapped batteries, same deal. It was the...

    jeep help!!!!!!!!!

When swapping timing chains you are supposed to line up the marks, and if it skipped a link due to wear, one would hope he swapped the gears too. ok, so the distributor went in in the same position. But was the rotor in the same position inside the distributor.

    8274 parts

I've got some from 12voltguy.com, I think they are 200A continuous. I'll tell you this much, when wiring up a new pack I accidentally caused a dead short off 2000CA of batteries. The 2/0 cable jumped when the short was created, and it took a try or two before I realized what was happening...

    Detroit locker in reverse

For example, if I drive my front left tire up to a verticle obstacle and engage the front axle when I meet that obstacle, or if I come up to the obstacle on very light throttle or neutral throttle, (think pressure on gears): That front left tire sits there dead stick, while the front right...

    Detroit locker in reverse

The locker itself is about 8 years old, but it's done it since it was new. I pulled it from the box and installed it myself, purchased from RRP. 99% sure the packaging on both said no-spin. I do recall telling them the 44 was for a front, because I always just excused it as a different setup...

    Detroit locker in reverse

I know the detriot in my front 44 only locks up under power/load from the engine. If I pull a tire up to an obstacle and it has to cover more ground than the other it will NOT move under power, it'll just sit there like I was open diff. I have to make sure that I have the front end under a...

    D60 rear hubs

I dunno.. How many blown out unit bearings have you seen on rigs. How many blown out hubs have you seen on rigs. I don't like unit bearings for their cost and the inability to turn the hubs out. But for pure strength and overall durability they have the edge.

Dual Batterys or High Amp Alternator?

Is it hard on an alternator to be spinning too fast? Not sure how to phrase it. But lets say you want more amps at idle, so you swap pullies to achieve that. But, now, lets say the alternator is spinning twice as fast as what the original pully would have allowed it to do.
