    Question on headers

Just about to finish weld the last two tubes on the drivers side now... Then I'll weld em' to the flange after I finish it, then the collector, then on to the other side. I picked up a craigslist tig welder. I probably could have picked an easier project for my first time TIG welding, but so...

I don't know what you have to do on a Dana 300 but You can get front digs out of one. My friend pulled a pill out of my Dana 20 to give me digs. I am spooled in the rear. I ran my lines coming out of the cutting brakes to a t fitting and then one line back to the rear axle where it t'd again...

He's a young'n just really getting into wheelin. He came over last night and we worked a little on his Toyota. Once he saw what I was doing and why he agreed it should be fine. Most of the tubes will be closer than I originally thought in length. From what he was telling me, l think he got...

    Question on headers

I'm building headers for the buggy. I have have a decent start on them, and pretty much finally got it all figured out how to make them fit the way I'd like them to. Then Ia friend tells me about "equal length tubes", and the benefits of that. It is kind of in one ear out the other. Then...

    running propane?

I never notice the smell, but I have had people behind me say they can a "forklift." I would never go back to gas personally. The only trouble I ever had was running bad when it gets down near, or in the twenties. It was not that big of an issue, I covered the tank, and line with blankets, and...

Glad to see this thread come up.. I was actually thinking of starting virtually the same thread today.. So not to hijack the thread but..... I have a Th350 in my jeep, and am putting one in the buggy. I don't know if the Jeep is stock or not, but I do know this: First gear holds. Second...

    A buggy's build

So, now that the shop is built, and the project is moved in it is time to start some basic planning. I think I'm going for someplace in the 101 to 103, or possibly 104 wheelbase range. First pic is set at 103", and the second is at 101". The belly is at 17 inches the tires are bald 39's, but...

Chevy 454 fanbelt keeps jumping off?

I had the same issues with the 454 in my motor home. I kept going through belts. I changed the alternator, and the water pump. I'm pretty sure it was the water pump that healed it up, but I can't say for sure. Can't remember for sure. The wife thinks it was the water pump.
