Ouch! I started on Milwaukee last year as well when Hardware Sales in B'ham had a killer deal on a drill, impact, charger, and 3 batteries set. Planning on getting the sawzall and bigger 1/2" impact as well. They've been really really good on battery life, I still haven't ran one dead for the...

I was pleasantly surprised with my 37" Cooper STTs, so I got a set of 35" Cooper STTs for the JK. Onroad performance is great, and offroad is also awesome.

Since the lift looks like it won't take that much amperage, I was thinking I'd divide the circuits off to 110. But then realized that I cannot do that because the 220 breaker won't let me. So yah, I'll have to run another circuit for drop down plugs.

With some advice from my Plumbing friend, I had to make some modifications to my plan. (note, the shower rises 45 degrees, I changed that to be lower so the p-trap is the same height as the vent.) Latest house photo with garage doors and all. I need gutters! And it paid off! One of the more...

The sewer line comes into the shop at a 45, so I used a 45 wye right before it entered, which put it parallel to the side of the building to go back to the driveway. I was going to put in a 90 (because I thought I needed a vent, seen in the photo), but since I do not need to vent the outside...

QO. Go pro or go home! :cheer: And actually it isn't that much more expensive. The panel is around $60, and the breakers are $6.50-14/ea. Definitely better than the homeline or any of the BR crap out there. Yup I'll be getting a 4" pad put in, with 8" provisions boxed in for the lift. But I...

Its 36x36x16 so I guess 1296sqft? Budget and wife wouldn't allow it to go any bigger.

wayyyy cheaper. I think it was something like $178 for the service line vs $400 or so? I would have loved to go copper, but putting some anti-corrosive on the ends is just as sufficient. I went with Walker Construction out of Battle Ground for the building.

Oh you know, it was just one window in the old garage. The gravel truck did a much better job, ripping off the overhang on the old garage :redneck: I estimate about 9 months ;) .. actually, the sad fact is it already is full. Between the truck, camper, and Jeep (that parks between the lift...

Electrical I'm looking at getting this box: Square D 20-Circuit 20-Space 125-Amp Main Lug Convertible Load Center I want something that is semi-commercial, because I have welding, a EV car, and a few other things going on at once. Its not that much more expensive than the other stuff either...

Next up was figuring out plumbing. What a mess. If it didn't cost ~7500 for someone to do it for me, I wouldn't have taken the time. Its a fairly simple procedure, with a service design as follows: For vanity, I'm not usually a fan of HD stuff, but I ran across this gem: Its a utility sink...

Getting the sides up took a little more time. But from start to finish they were done in 2.5 weeks. Building done! (well at least the building-building part...)

In the middle of August, we finally broke ground. First, the poles: They worked quick! Once the poles were in place, it only took a day to get the trusses put up, and it was only a team of 2! So it took a day to get the poles placed, and another day to get the roof joists up. Next...

Here is a plot plan of what we plan to do. For now we're keeping the existing garage, and will go around the side. The existing one is 20w x 24l, and the carport was 11' wide, with a space between the garage and fence at 13'. The first step was to eliminate the carport and rear shed...

Oh man oh man, moved in June and it took a bit to get all the ducks in a row. But basically this is why I haven't been on the trail. I've converted my wheeling time into shop building time so I have a shop so I can fix my junk so I can wheel! .. yah yah yah. Specs: 28x36 Shop space, 8ft alcoves...

heh the axle seals are toast on one end... but I'm not going to pull it apart today. Wait until spring, then overhaul it.

Pinion nut backed out.. locker f'ed?

hmm actually I think it is a solid spacer. I don't think it had enough ft/lbs when we initially put it on. Wouldn't a crush sleeve still have lateral slop even tight, once it backs out? The pinion doesn't move at all when the nut is on there. Kev, call me when ya wake up :cheer:
