    Cam or buckle style harness

I believe that the duckbills were designed for the military so that it is easier for someone else to get you out when you aren't able to do that yourself.

    Bloock Heater Issue

Since I am recovering from a shoulder replacement and a couple of lame wrists, I took the rig to Kevin's place. Turns out it was the block heater itself rather than the wiring. Off to see a friend at the Blue Oval Store in the morning.

    Bloock Heater Issue

It appears that I have a dead short somewhere in the block heater circuit on my '97 Powerstroke. Each time I plug it into a circuit it immediately pops the GFCI. I have tried 3 separate circuits with the same result. The good news is the really cold weather is coming to an end for a while...

    Low pressure propane

Several years ago I was able to buy a high pressure regulator from Cenex for my forge. At the time that was the only place I could find one.

    Saginaw tech?

Tess is letting you deal with these kind of issues right now? Shouldn't you be trying on tuxes or such?

    South Sound Cage Builder?

Bought a really nice cage for my YJ from a guy in Carbonado. Don't remember the name, but maybe someone on here knows who it is.

    AMC and Jeep interchangably questions

The only issues that you might run into is the electrical connections are not compatible.

    ****ed up 4L60E

A friend of mine had a similar problem and finally chased down the wiring, starting at the tranny and working backward. He found a spot where something had cut or torn the harness.

    axle tubes and shaft shortening?

Speaking for myself only, Kevin is very used to having someone standing around looking fat and stupid. In fact, I am pretty sure that none of you can live up to the standard I set, on either score.

    cummins issue

I learned this lesson the hard way on a 44' sailboat. I have dual tanks on my '97 PSD and I never run either tank below 1/4.

    Superduty door handles/ thieves

A guy who worked for me in the '80s had a convertible. The thieves would cut the top to steal stuff out of the interior even though he intentionally left the doors unlocked. They assholes didn't even try the doors.

    Battery Charging to a trailer

I got it figured out, but I haven't assembled the parts yet. Still unsure of what I am going to do for a battery box on the trailer. Spent yesterday into the late evening working on a variety of computer issues.

    :D:D:D Great idea!!

    Battery Charging to a trailer

I should have been clearer in my question. I was concerned with whether or not I needed to isolate the battery for the winch and the battery for the trailer breakaway battery.

    Battery Charging to a trailer

I am going to be mounting a winch on my trailer for use in emergency loading situations. I would like to be able to charge the battery from the charging lead in my wiring harness from the tow vehicle to the trailer. Will I need to have a battery isolator? In any case, what would the wiring...

    shortening leaf springs?

I am not sure where to find it now, but when we were deciding which springs to put under my rig, we found a table on the Internet that showed the length, offset, etc., of basically every leaf spring out there. Spend some time with your friend Google and you should be able to find it.

    Winches Bitches...

I ran a Tabor on the Isuzu with no issues. I was told that there are only a very few parts different between the Tabor and the corresponding Warn, but I didn't actually do the comparison myself. The Tabor wasn't the fastest, but I wasn't running competition anyway.

    got a ? about spools.

I ran a full spool for a couple of years in my YJ and replaced it with a Grizzly Zip Lock, similar to an ARB. The rig with a spool in really pushed and severely restricted the turning radius. It also tended to dart back and forth when driving on pavement, which wasn't often.

Tire Vulcanizing in the North Sound

I checked with Pacific last year and they don't do vulcanizing. They do have someone that they send the work out to but I don't know who that is.
