Well maybe it would just be more cost effective to go 4.3 or 5.3. Then I'll actually have more power like I want and get the auto I want too.

Does anyone run a Toyota auto trans in their rigs. Trying to figure out if one will hold up or not. Currently running the 22re and l52 trans. Toy high low box to a Dana 300. Just want to get an auto. Might just have to go 4.3 or 5.3 engine with a turbo 350?

thanks for all the replies guys. after doing some research and measuring i might go with a 5.3 or if i get some cash soon enough a friend has a line on a 6.0 so we'll see what happens.

im thinking about swapping my 22re for a 4.3 so i can get some more power and swap to an auto. dont quite have the room for a v8 so thats my reason for the 4.3 anyways my question is what years would be the best choice for my buggy. i dont know a whole lot about them but from what ive read it...

I think so. We cracked the line at the intake and it seemed like it had plenty of pressure. Maybe I should try my friends fuel pump on it to see if mines going out

so we were out at walker last month wheeling, rigs was running good then out of nowhere it started missing and sounded like only running on three cylinders. after a couple minutes it cleared out and ran fine. next trail it just died on me. got it fired up after a couple of minutes and kept going...

so would the warning light just tell you if it not getting enough voltage

i mite still have a wiring harness that will work for that engine it was built by off road solutions its basically a bare bones type of thing itll make the engine run and its got the fuel pump wiring but no lights or that extra stuff, id like to sell it so pm me if your interested
