My wifes DD dropped compression on #1 and #8 cylinder yesterday. So I'm needing a 5.3 to fit my 07 Tahoe with the DOD.
8 digit in the Vin is O.
If you guys got one or know where to find one.
Or anybody have a theory on what caused this junk to self destructed let me know.
I'm going to pull the valve covers tonight and rotate it to see if I have any valve movement on #8 I have valve movement on #1. (cam lobe/lifter quick check)
then pull the heads if nothing shows.
Comp throws P 0301 or the p 300 code of doom.
Also as its running the scanner shows the timing moving all over the place.
History:
This Issue started as I entered Knoxville on 40/75 at 75 ish MPH. limped it home after that.
13x,xxx Miles, well maintained, Crushed DOD lifter in June ( I Fixed) at 105,XXX miles.
no problems other than that.
