22re oil pan removal

is it possible to remove an oil pan from a stock 86 4runner with the motor still in??? Doesn't look like there's enough room with the axle piece in the way.

You may have to drop the front diff or raise the engine off the mounts to get it out. I was always able to drop it, unbolt the strainer & snake the pan out. I also had a lift on mine when I had IFS. I have had to pull the motor mounts & put a couple 2x4 pieces in to hold it up while I pulled the pan on others.

In the manual they say to lift the motor a couple inches. Ive got one I need to do a pan gasket on in the truck still, Im just really lazy. Im sure I can figure something out though, haha. Im thinking just unbolt the mounts and hoist it up.

If you can get your fingers in to unbolt the pickup tube... good luck getting it bolted back in though.:haha: :haha: :haha:
