4.6 geared rear with 4.56 front, montero

buddies SAS'n his '91 montero. would 4.56s work fine with the 4.6somethin we think is in the 9" rear end? would it slip on the ice more noticibly than a perfect matching set, or is that splitting poobhairs?

I've been running this exact ratio's in my pathy for 4 years. Even had it on dry pavement in low/low. Can't even notice it.
