5.29 gears, lockers and good axles. High steer and 4 wheel disc brakes.
I was thinking of a late model GM V6 and 6 speed auto.

35x15.5 TSL SX or similar. Possibly even 33's.

Sounds like you're pretty much on the right track, except I agree with Choppy. Find you some cheap Wrangler springs. Don't even mess with the aftermarket stuff

Here it is.
Never been on it's side or crashed. Original F head 4cyl and 3 speed. Warn OD.

If you do put that V8 in this rig,,,, let me know before you tear into it, and I'd be interested in the engine/trans/wiring/etc. depending on price.

edit.. I'll pay extra if I can drive that black car once or twice around the block.
