54" LS2 JK Buggy Build

I can barely keep the pics updated fast enough
Orbital and brake pedals mounted. Interior starting to come together.

Got the Pacific Fab oil pan in. Motor guard, steering cooler and tranny cooler mounted.

Found a nice surprise while peeking in the bottom end. All Manley forged internals and ARP hardware.

Fuel cell came in, mocking up for rear battery and Yeti. :smoke:

You pulled the motor out of your gto correct? Or an I thinking of someone else?

Build looks great.. making more progress then I have in 6 months
 
My orig plans was to build a bouncer style chassis. The D1 sticked out a good bit. Would have made it really though to build around. After discovering that the motor was built correctly with forged internals I'm seriously considering a 150-200 shot.

Ahh man... The blower would've been flashemifyougotem nitrous runs out but would be fun while it last!
 
Yes it would have been badass but more moving parts as well. A warmed up LS2 should be enough to break some ****.

Atlas support ring installed. Mid shaft on the two piece tacked up. Ignition panel came in.

What size tubing / yoke at the atlas end did you use on that carrier bearing?

Did you turn down anything, or is the WOD bearing still 2.25 OD?
